This rose has the name "Tournament of Roses" and was created by William Warriner in 1989. "Bill" Warriner worked for Jackson & Perkins Company for 25 years where he is credited with creating 150 rose varieties. He was so highly regarded a rose was created in his name "Bill Warriner" It is a beautiful floribunda rose which I am glad to say we have in our garden.

Another shot taken during my run yesterday. I love watching boats being launched during a fishing tournament. With the early morning fog before sunrise, there were many photo opportunities. Without the iPhone with me, I would have missed these shots. There are four more photos in the comment section.

While most tournaments are big national events, some villages like to hold their own tournaments for entertainment. In this small port town, locals enjoy the annual treasure diving tournament. The village is located above a old underwater ruin, which is rich with natural and man-made treasures -- from pearls to gold to gems. The element that makes this event more entertaining and thrilling is the many creatures protecting these treasures. Occasionally someone comes out of the tournament alive.
My final build for the LoR Brawling Tournament. Sorry if I disappointed anyone with this "half-baked" build. Not sure what happened this round... Aaaanyway, my opponent is Fritzix! Good luck!

My 6th entry for the Colossal Castle Contest, this time in the Archery Tournament category. I enjoyed getting to use our sand green plates for the landscape.
The annual horseback archery tournament in Avalonia is always a popular competition. Spectator stands are placed around the range, while wooden stakes mark how close archers are allowed to get to targets.

There it is on the left: the Triwizard Tournament DOM. This one belongs to Cambridge University's Polar Museum. DOM: Digital Optical Module. But why Triwizard Tournament? Because DOM's are nicknamed with reference to Harry Potter Books! Well, this all looks very magical. It was. The Discoveries exhibition of Cambridge Uni museum objects at 2 Temple Place in London was just that.
