I captured this reflection image of our 6 mo old daughter as we were out walking the streets to start our day. It was a special time together, and I loved the framing of the board game within the window.
La Tosa -nom oficial recollit per l'Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya-, o la Tosa d'Alp, com molts anomenen aquest cim, és una muntanya de 2.536,4 metres situada a l'est de la serra del Moixeró, al límit entre la Cerdanya i el Berguedà. Pel fet que al capdamunt hi conflueixen els territoris de 4 municipis (Alp, Urús, Das i Bagà) la seva punta també es coneix com a Pedró dels Quatre Batlles.
A l'esquerra de la plana podem veure la població d'Alp, una mica més a la dreta Das i al centre l'aeròdrom de La Cerdanya..

Tot baixant de de la Tosa d'Alp, a la Cerdanya, vaig veure aquest jovenet còlit gris (oenanthe oenanthe) agafat a un ferro.

I saw this northern wheathear (oenanthe oenanthe) at about 2500 m. above sea level, near the Tosa d'Alp mountaintop. It's a young bird, still with it's first feathers.

Tosa before the hipsters moved in, 205 has an eclectic mix of power in this spring 87 view. Always loved SOO 6600's, but bandit SD40-2's wern't bad either.. A little slow on the shutter speed... but kids today do this and they can chimp! I was 14 when i took it....

Iwasaki Yatarou (岩崎弥太郎 1835-1885) was the founder of the Mitsubishi conglomerate. He came from Tosa (土佐), present-day Kouchi prefecture, located on the southern coast of the Shikoku island.
He established friendship with Meiji government officials from the same prefecture and started shipping business and earned huge profits capitalising on the connections. He was a typical government crony.
Meiji Restoration in 1868 was led by young Samurais from the domains (藩 Han) in the four prefectures in southern Japan, namely, Kagoshima, Yamaguchi, Kouchi, and Saga. They are supposed to have had business connections with, and political influences from, the Western countries such as USA, UK and France before they started the de-facto revolution.
Young revolutionaries from southern Japan became old politicians, and their families and affiliates maintained political and business presences for generations.
Iwasaki's descendants expanded his business to form the Mitsubishi conglomerate. Iwasaki Mansion was constructed by his first son.
Another example of government crony was Matsukata Koujirou of the National Western Art Museum, who was a son of a prime minister who came from Kagoshima.
Canadian Pacific SD60 6236, SD33C-ECO 5020 and SD40-2 5966 move a manifest west through the annoyingly-fenced Watertown Sub right of way in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on a pleasant summer afternoon. The last time I saw a train at this spot without the fence, the leader was also an SD60- but still in Soo Line paint.
The Tosa's temperament is marked by patience, composure, boldness and courage. He is normally a tranquil, quiet, and obedient dog, with a calm but vigilant demeanor. With a stately manner and robust build, they were formerly bred for fighting, but are now used as watchdogs.

El Castillo de Tossa de Mar
La Muralla de Tossa de Mar es una muralla situada en la localidad española de Tosa de Mar, Girona, España. Está situado en la Vila Vella del municipio siendo el único ejemplo de población medieval fortificada que todavía existe en la costa catalana.Construido entre los siglos XII y XIV, como defensa contra la piratería. Casi la totalidad del perímetro es original. Destacan tres grandes torres cilíndricas, denominadas del homenaje. De época románica son las saeteras de la muralla.
The Castle of Tossa de Mar
The Wall of Tossa de Mar is a wall located in the Spanish town of Tossa de Mar, Girona, Spain. It is located in the Vila Vella of the municipality, being the only example of a fortified medieval town that still exists on the Catalan coast. Built between the 12th and 14th centuries, as a defense against piracy. Almost the entire perimeter is original. Three large cylindrical towers stand out, called homage. From the Romanesque period are the arrow slits on the wall.
Sailing through Tosa with Roseport coke, a pair of CIT EMDs bust through the hazy Menomonee Valley with a pickup to make at Muskego Yard.
