Yesterday in the wee hours of the morning we had tornadoes here in Sarasota and the surrounding areas. Fortunately my family and I were not affected other than blown down branches, however, unfortunately for others, homes were destroyed and damaged and at least 2 people died. It is of utmost importance to take notice and realize that Global Warming is a fact and to take action!

Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo💜💜

My first tornado, and a bucket list shot for me.

I've been semi-chasing for years, and while I've seen and captured some amazing storms, I've never quite been able to do the same with a tornado. That changed today, after studying nearby, evolving radar activity and positioning myself at a good vantage point a few miles away from where I suspected this twister would be. So thrilled to have finally seen and captured one in an image.

Bitter-sweet, though, as I fear for damage and injuries resulting from this. Currently, news indicates some damage, but it was in a wide-open rural area, so hopefully there's no serious damage done.

Tornado warning in Cornwall this event but not much action.

Leeuwarden, 7 October 2021.

Busy times at Leeuwarden. A Weapons Instructor Course (WIC) was held and this week was the grand finale. 35 different jets flew, most of them twice.

Runway 23 was in use. To avoid the town of Marsum, all aircraft bank right immediately after take-off and then left again. This produces many nice top views. I'm sure some pilots show off to please the photographers and bank a little more.

Today 5 Tornados flew plus 7 German EF2000s, 10 Belgian F-16s, 5 Norwegian F-35s, 5 Dutch F-16s and 3 Dutch F-35s.

This specially marked Panavia Tornado GR4 celebrates 100 years of RAF Marham in Norfolk. Opened in 1916 as a night landing cover base it was closed in the advent of peace in 1919 after the First World War. It was happily reopened in run up to the Second World War but alas shut again in 1944. In the late 40's it was reopened with a concrete runway and remains a major air station for the Royal Air Force to this day.
