From working here for many years to visiting regularly then after with my Carla made easy on the 20 minute metro journey, I now can’t remember the last time I was here. Here is a very rare cityscape photo taken back in 2017, you have to admit Newcastle has a lot to entice the urban landscape photographer but it’s not my genre. The problem for me is people, I’m very self conscious and if I’m out taking photos, especially from a tripod I want to be alone and not have people poking their faces in my view finder. Enjoy, bonny as it is I can’t see myself here very soon.

As promised here's a new custom!
I made this custom for a contest on instagram and it had to include shading, so that's what I thought maybe I could do Link from Wind Wake as I haven't made a Nintendo fig in quite a bit.
This figure is taller than a short legged fig, but also shorter than a regular fig. I did this because Toon Link isn't as tiny as people make him look. Everything is sculpted with procreate and painted with Apple Barrel and Anita Paints. I added shading near the waist in the hair and on the back of the cap (see alt. photo). I noticed that the face isn't the best but I had such a hard time with it, and this is the best version so far. He also carries a Master Sword and Hylian shield.

La scène qui m’a donné l’idée de cette image en apparence surréaliste existe bel et bien dans la réalité! Il s’agit d’une photo d’une petite cabane ancrée sur un rocher en mer près de Natashquan au Québec.

Their graphical style which is very sleek and stylish is designed to extract us from the natural and physical reality of the world while maintaining with this world a familiar link that makes us able to participate in the story and to identify with its characters and its places.
The scene that gave me the idea for this surrealist image does exist in reality! This is a photo of a small cabin anchored on a rock in the sea near Natashquan in Quebec.
37158 and 37296 take a breather after arriving at Newcastle with 1E37 the 13.28 Paignton - Newcastle on 11th May 1984. The HST clearly failed on the Lickey and the bankers were called to assist. Apparently because the "temporary" coupling bar proved to be slightly less temporary than intended the 37's had to remain on the train so that Heaton could attend to the problem. I recall being tipped off about this working by an enthusiast who worked on the ticket barriers at Newcastle and had time to return home, get some cash and my tripod, tip off a friend and still get to Durham for it. I still remember the bell on the down platform at Durham that alerted staff to the imminent arrival of a train ringing and waiting with trepidation to see if the 37's were still on the train. They were - amazing!
