I want to try this again as it's not quite as I envisioned it. I have some very kind friends , one lent me the violin and the other the ballet shoes. I would like to get more use of them both before I return them.

In Albuqueqrue, New Mexico, a library with the history of New Mexico has old printing machines as well as the stamps and other tools to the printing trades. The printing presses are still operational but only in the way of demostration as to how the tools of the trade works.
Baking and sharing the loaves helps me be a better baker and friend. Grateful that we have high quality and organic grains and a local miller to get our flours from.
Back when I was teaching, one of the things that kept me sane were my pens. Marking assignments and writing reports (back before computers) seemed more pleasurable when using a decent pen, sometimes a fine-tipped Parker ballpoint but often a fountain pen. While this was not my first fountain pen, it did become a favourite. Sadly, it hadn't been used for several years as emails and messages now constitute most of my text communication, but as I still have ink, I enjoyed writing a few assignment comments on paper before this shot.

Earlier this year I was introduced to this hobby and I was instantly hooked A grown up treasure hunt that you can do everywhere!!! WHY WOULD YOU NOT??!!! I've learned a lot, found some friends to take with me and I don't plan on looking back. This hobby is full of adventures and I plan to go on as many as I can!

I visited the M & S Schmalberg studio, they custom manufacture fabric flowers for high end designers as well as sell on etsy. The owner gave us the tour which was fun and informative.

Some tools of the trade from the resident chef - my BH. I liked the light play in this shot and hope it has some appeal.
It also fits in with the name I chose for a blog I've started to cover things that interest me. The connection is really a coincidence as I created and named the blog after taking this shot and it only occurred to me to tie the two together when I started typing the description for the photo. Flickr and photography will definitely be regular topics and I am blogging some photos that I would rather not "clutter up" my Flickr stream. The blog is called Slices of Ron and is at sliceofron.blogspot.com.

I was asked what tools I used to sculpt. Here they are.
Most of them are clay sculpting tools. I also use the engraver tool. The black cylinder is used for rolling. The jar is filled with oil to prevent sticking. The greenstuff can be purchased on ebay. I stick my greenstuff in the freezer when I am not using it (because it supposedly lasts longer).

This photo was taken for theme "Tools of the Trade" in The Flickr Lounge .
One of my many hobbies include electronic tinkering from time to time. It has been a long time since I have made anything, think about a year already. Seen here are some of the tools I use. The Tektronix Oscilloscope (model TDS210) was given to me as a go-away present from my former boss whom migrated to Nieuw Zeeland. He gave me quite a lot of equipment for helping him sort and pack his things for the migration. The weller soldering iron was also one of the items as well as the multi-meter.

Week 43/52, 2016
This week’s theme for my 52 project is “Tools of the Trade.” One of my other hobbies is making espresso drinks, which I do almost every day. These are a couple of the items I use to make espresso. I grind coffee into the portafilter shown on the right and then tamp it down using the tamper on the left. Although the items are sitting on an orange towel, I decided it worked better in B&W.
