Yesterday, was a very long day in the warehouse. Slowly but surely, we are clearing away 30 years of theatrical props, and costumes.
It was such a welcome relief to come home to some pretty tulips, and a window full of bright late day sunshine.
I enjoy color so much that the RGB levels in my digital paintbox get used regularly.
Last night, after looking at my yellow tulips from all angles and in all shades, I decided to go for this rich cabernet tone.
Not to improve upon God's work, mind you, because as a botanist, He rules. I just like experimenting.
I will dedicate this one to God, who has blessed me with sunshine and colors. With every beam of light, whether by sun, by moon, or by human, I feel His love. And His love comes in so many fascinating shades and colors. Amen.

The river Tone runs through Taunton in Somerset.
The river is about 33 kilometres (21 mi) long. Its source is at Beverton Pond near Huish Champflower in the Brendon Hills, and is dammed at Clatworthy Reservoir. The reservoir outfall continues through Taunton and Curry and Hay Moors, which are designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Finally, it flows into the River Parrett at Burrowbridge.
The rain is on its way - time to look for shelter and a coffee .
Not sure I like the "dramatic tone" effect the camera has.

i have a lot of architectural shots from DC, and they are just bland as is. with these new textures i am pleased to post them. gives these old buildings the classic look they truly deserve.

This week's theme for Mosaic Montage Monday was Brown Tones. I happened to spot something in the dirt that someone threw away. I'm not sure why it caught my eye, maybe I just liked the font.
