Doctors 4 & 12 swap magazines.

Harley Quinn, Saruman and the Doctor join Wil Wheaton for a Game of Toyville.

Thanks to Peter the Painter for Wil's headsculpt :)

And a quick recommendation for Wil's actual Tabletop show over on Youtube - even if you only have a passing interest in gaming it's still a fun watch.

The Doctor has a spot of Alien trouble!

And it's not a beer!

This is my photo, but I totally 'borrowed' the processing inspiration from Tom Baker. His photo is still far better than mine, but I decided to post this anyway as it was the one that I really wanted to turn out!

Thanks Tom!

National Museum of Scotland.

One for the gentlemen in the audience. Can't help but wonder how many of you out there had a pair.

Spotted during a lunch hour in Horsham museum and considered too good not to share ASAP.

Normal service will be resumed shortly.

A picture I made with Face Your Manga inspired by Tom Baker in the BBC's Doctor Who.

The Doctor and Lt. Ellis investigate a mysterious tunnel which has suddenly opened up under the SHADO moonbase.

... and the Doctor isn't too impressed with this Empire either; no one seems to like jelly babies or appreciate his yo-yo skills.

Still, at least he was able to help those awfully nice Bothan chaps who were trying to access some blueprint data files...

Happy Birthday, Doctor!

(This little guy is growing on me)

76, Trotters Lane and the Doctor first discovers his taste for (i) jelly babies and (ii) temporal paradoxes!

... and (iii) his dislike for fancy-ass filter effects! Sorry!

The Doctor's faithful friend....

I had to use a little Photoshop trickery to make the LEGO Dimensions K-9 appear closer to his actual relative scale.

The Doctor and the Brigadier explore the caves beneath Walmington-on-Sea in search of what the locals are calling 'Mainwaring's Ghost'.

"Ah, I see what the matter was now, Brigadier - the navigation system was set for 'long time ago' and 'far, far away'..."

Another happy customer for Big Chief Studio's smiley Tom headsculpt - cracking work chaps :)

Picked up K-9 in a flea market (appropriately enough) for just £3.

Bargain!

The Fourth Doctor and his trusty robotic dog "K9" get themselves into a rocky situation.

The Fourth Doctor's first appearance was in the episode "Planet Of The Spiders" in 1974. Tom baker played the Fourth Doctor from 1974 to 1981 and appeared in 172 episodes of Doctor Who.

K9's first appearance was in the episode "The Invisible Enemy" in 1977 who was portrayed by John Leeson. K9 was the creation of Professor Marius. There was a very cool episode in the second series (the 10th Doctor [David Tennant]) called "School Reunion" where the tenth doctor encounters two of his past companions; K9 along with Sara Jane Smith, played by the lovely Elisabeth Sladen. I think it was a brilliant episode that honored two great companions in the Doctor Who Universe.

Doctor Who's Tardis makes an emergency landing.

I did this with a green laser pointer, long exposure and no additional light i.e. it was almost entirely dark. Just enough light to see where my hand was when swirling the pointer round the TARDIS.

I posted this shot almost a year ago, but decided recently (July 08) to investigate how photos posted to flicker can gain huge amounts of comments just by posting to the "right" groups.

Comments after almost a year without the "right" groups 12 after 1 day in the "right" groups 79!

Out of the Box!

"I don't care if you where the fourth Doctor, I'm in the box now and I'm not coming out"

The Doctor and Leela are cornered by the vile Muton and his dread subforms - the Amulak, the Torg and the X-Arkon!

A modern take on an encounter played out many times in my childhood - back then it was with the 9" Denys Fisher Doctor Who and Cyborg/Muton figures.

Decades later it was a delight to lay my hands on the 'original' 12" Japanese Cyborg/Muton (aka King Walder) and Android figures... and with Big Chief's Doctor Who range the circle is complete :)

Apologies for the vintage filter, but this is a kinda flashback to childhood play on my bedroom floor with the Trek Megos and Muton/Cyborg/Android/Dr Who Denys Fisher toys...

After an epic battle with Android and Muton's subforms, Cyborg lies drained... but Muton seems victorious; he has his hands on the alien Transcendence Device and with its untold energies flowing into him his evil will surely be unstoppable now - already his form is now beyond death.

But Cyborg's allies have a plan. With Spock monitoring the energy levels for a precise instant of vulnerability, the Doctor hastily connects the Device's power supply to that powering the planet's forcefield - which has kept help from the Enterprise at bay. Muton gladly absorbs the extra rush of power as the forcefield flickers and fades; for not even a volley of photon torpedoes could hurt his undying form now...

Kirk has the Enterprise transporter lock onto Muton, ready to beam him into the cold depths of space... but the alien laughs; even before 'transcendence' the vacuum of space was nothing to him...

"Energise, Mr Scott," Kirk orders, "maximum dispersal!"

There's a brief realisation of horror and failure on Muton's twisted face before his atoms are scattered far and wide across this corner of the cosmos.

But is even that enough to bring an end to the terror that is Muton?

So where's the 3rd Doctor (well, the 2nd actually) got to? He was here a moment ago...

I picked this up at a SciFi convention in NYC over 20 years ago. It's framed and hanging in my office now.

Yes, I do have 4th Doctor Who Scarf too...

Using this tool, I found out that this photo made the flickr explore page on December 6, 2005.

"Well, hello again," the Doctor greets the cosmic cube, "I haven't seen you since that time in Asgard... how long ago was that now?"

The Doctor's sonic screwdrivers whistles away...

"Well, it seems you've been jumping the time lines a bit since then too... what's that? Space Pirates you say? A trap? Well, of course it is... after all, that's why I'm here."

With thanks to Yulia Bobrovskikh for Tom's wonderful new scarf.

Just a little custom based on Fugitive of the Judoon, I’m excited to see how they do this, although I hope they don’t mess up the continuity.

A variant of the Fourth Doctor. Wearing a hat!

Romana was President for the first part of the Time War, before Rassilon was reincarnated and took over. The outfit however was based on the 4th doctor story, ‘the Deadly Assassin’.

"Doctor, this cannot be the Land of Eng you speak of so often - it is too hot, sunny and dry!"

D'oh! I should've waited 24hrs - anyhow, a retake of yesterday's photo with a better location and far better weather... but still the same lousy gag I'm afraid.

57 years of Doctor Who and still rocking like 55

"They're really rather good you know."

The Doctor tries to lure the... erm... thingamabob down from the time rotor.

Yes, another of Kit Lane's needle felted bobaloos has joined my collection.

A recreation of the 1975 Dr Who episode, 'The Android Invasion'.

Part of the annual scarecrow trail in East Hagbourne.

"Doctor, this cannot be the Land of Eng you speak of so often - it is too hot, sunny and dry!"

Of course, once I started setting this up the sun went in and it started to spot with rain... so the TARDIS's navigation circuits were working ;)

The Leela costume is from Vikki's The Fabric of Time & Space website which has been sitting here waiting to be used for several long years! Yet to find a convincing Louise Jameson doll to wear it so for now it's on a re-wigged Hot Toys female true-type Cuban gal; she looks passable in hand but any hit of likeness seems to drain away in front of the camera!

In a secret chamber deep below the S.H.A.D.O. moonbase the Doctor and Lt. Ellis make a shocking discovery; an old enemy of the Timelord*, and a future enemy of the Earth, in deep stasis.

* or at least an old enemy from my childhood days when the Denys Fisher Doctor Who and Muton toys used to slug it out on my bedroom floor!
