A pair of Aromatica tomatoes (my favourites) joined by the vine on which they grew.

Also making use of my new light box I got for my birthday this year.

These are some tomatoes from my garden -- Cherry Tomatoes!

It was very hard to capture these as it was a windy afternoon and they kept blowing around 😊 HSoS

Created for Crazy Tuesday - Fruit and Vegetables

Sadly my old tomato looks more like an apple. Tomatoes are considered a fruit because they have seeds.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs!!

I'd had a fabulous summer in the greenhouse with the tomato plants. I had picked over 70 small cherry tomatoes this day. Lots left. The stems were sturdy, robust, surprising hairy and not particularly photogenic compared to the gorgeous fruit.

It was Sunday, so I started playing - HSS!

A little bokeh for the holiday season.

In 1957 - "Blast" and "Burst" Adolph Gottlieb balanced his canvas with two opposing forms. Inherently a tension formed between them. Not as much a dialogue, but rather a feeling.

Your eye instinctively goes from one form to the other, and a presence is delegated to the emptiness between them.

Green tomatoes in a window box.

they look strange now... but they were delicious right from the garden!!

A new method?

Seen at West Dean Gardens in West Sussex, the original shot is in the first comment.

I Got Your Back.

Someone is at the door , but I am not dressed. It is an old friend, the best kind to invite into my nest. I reach for the soap, and think, it’s too warm to move. The door opens slightly, he is there, someone from my past, from way back, someone too kind, too gentle for their own good. He talks, and I hear words, but they are harsh and sarcastic, it’s a puzzle – someone being what they are not, and it isn’t really nice.

What have I done to bring this out in him, I wonder. Then he is gone, I turn over, there is a child next to me, submerged, under my arm.

I jump out and administer mouth to mouth, panic, then relief. She jumps up, smiles, and is on her way to go and play – I stare wistfully at the bath, my child, running, playing, and I feel alone, sitting there on the floor.

The dreamer awakes next to me, she smiles.

“Hi you”, she says, “I am puzzled by myself”.

The mist is rolling across the field, the ground is filled with autumn leaves, and we are snuggled under blankets that follow us to the couch. Mugs and steam, warm in the hand – comfort and peace – legs tucked underneath.

She relates the dream.

“What do you think?”.

“Everyone in my dream is me” she says, “and everyone I meet is a symbol of my own being, My friend has become harsh, bitter, I think it’s me, straying from my own idea of me. I am languishing in the bath – it’s comfortable, but it’s is killing the child in me”.

Silence .....

My hand find’s it’s way to hers. They lock and squeeze.

She waits, draws a breath and says, “Have I become a bad person?”

I look into her eyes, I see no bad, I see only what is deep inside and something inside me says “Your dream is your note to self, you offer yourself paths and consequence”.

Knowing when to shut-up is a gift many people have, but not me. “When I look at you, I see strength and weakness, but I see no bad. I see the little girl and the adult, and I don’t mind which one comes out to play – but when they wonder off, I think we lose our way.

She stood up, went to the cupboard and appeared with a pair of roller skates “common”, she said “it’s time to play”.

It's good to dream :-)

Although we had many tomatoes this past year I hardly posted any photos of them,

This Heirloom plant was given to me by a friend,

he had seedlings on the window of his auto part store,

strange place but the sun hitting the window help them mature.

The tomato is the red fruit/berry of the nightshade Solanum lycopersicum, commonly known as a tomato plant.

Outdoor market in Nellysford, VA.

Vine ripe tomatoes are readily available all year long from our local markets,

we had simple salad with tomatoes and Cucumbers, some Greek virgin olive oil wine vinegar S/P and Greek oregano.

Boiled pound of Shrimp and we had our dinner.

A tip for perfect timed boil, Add your frozen shrimp in a pot with cold water with some seafood seasoning, when the water comes to boil close the fire and strain the shrimp,

Most tender shrimp you ever had!

Para Macro Mondays.

Tema: Red.

I picked the last of the tomatoes this week. It was a bountiful plant and they were delicious!

Today from my vegetable garden.

“Looking Close...on Friday” theme “Black Background”

My second attempt at this idea and I think I am beginning to master it when I get there I will tell you how I achieved it, you may of figured it out for yourselves already though!

Not off my tomato vine, unfortunately. But it won't be long.

My kitchen window sill is so handy. I quite like roasting this variety on a bed of rock salt, drizzled with olive oil. The stalks are left on until the very end. Delicious as a base for a hearty soup.

FFP2 masks are currently mandatory at the Vienna markets.

While we're on the subject of food...I use Campari tomatoes sold in a plastic blister pack, a good ripe small winter tomato, great if you can find them.

"We cannot tell what may happen to us in the strange medley of life. But we can decide what happens in us - how we can take it, what we do with it - and that is what really counts in the end." -- Joseph Fort Newton

A single tomato plant has produced tomatoes non stop for us,

Some of the branches are pulling away from the main stalk,

Little strand and ropes holding it to the Mother plant,

Amazingly enough still has many tomatoes and new flowers,

Planted in the Vegtrug.
