another therapy dog that visited =)

somewhere in Illinois, a couple of hours before we hit Indiana.

We'd just driven through a seriously dark storm with multispeed, multilayered clouds twisting and turning into something with an ominous look to it. Just after I snapped this photo (and a couple of others) we found a radio station giving a current weather update.

The update? 50 or so miles away there had been a tornado touchdown. The winds were gusting at 60mph, and it was going to be crappy before it got better.

KD and I both were relieved that the direction in which we were traveling happened not to be the same direction in which the storm was going.

We happened by this tipped-over semi just after it had tipped - an ambulance was on the scene but police had not yet arrived. We wished safe thoughts toward the driver, continuing on our way.

*image was lightened greatly or none of us would have been able to figure out what was beyond the pickup truck.

This is what I mean when I say he often looks like a throw rug with cat parts stuck on the corners...

Close up of the same tip jugs. Quite like the glaze breaking at the edge of these spouts - another reason I like this glaze.

Note Taking Tip: Use wide margins. Line each page with a pen and ruler, giving yourself a wide margin on the left hand side. This will prevent the page from becoming too overcrowded and will leave you space to write in any additional information once you review your notes. #notes

This action shot, taken with the 70-300mm G, was taken as part of a series of photos I took of friends, as they sledged down a small hill, whilst on holiday.

It was a good chance to try the 70-300mm lens with action shots, as the subject approached. This image is not perfect, in that is it not particularly sharp, but it captures what I was going for.

Mtoni Marine restaurant has an interesting gratuity policy that should help you understand how much to tip on Zanzibar and in Tanzania in general.

Study Tip: Tackle small sections at a time… Need to memorize a huge chunk of information? Don’t try and do it all at once. Instead, learn a new chunk every day – and don’t start the next portion until you’ve got the last one down. #study #studytip

Study Tip: If you are willing to make a larger time investment, consider using more than one study guide. Often the different approaches of multiple authors will help you "get" difficult concepts. #study #studytip

It says, "Tips help find jobs for out of work muppets affected by Jim Henson's death". I wonder how long that's been there

Those bugging Twitter tips are usually just a pain in the behind. This time though it seems like it almost makes sense...
