I told Lisa that we love her, and she replied "Not Tonight you dont!!" and shot me this scowl that i quickly snapped for posterity.
More insects from my trip to this reserve earlier in the week.
This was the only orange-tip I saw and it was a surprise to see one. This was an occasion I used my newer Panasonic as the butterfly had settled too far for my usual camera to take a photo.
un stuffed mice , I am experimenting with things other then a single stripe and this is what I came up with he bottom right is the usb set i had to buy to get the photo of this ancent camera
I tried for ages to get a decent shot of the orange-tip butterflies that were holding territories in the garden! Up close wasn't working at all, so instead I held back and used the 100-400 zoom. Even so, this was one of only two half-decent shots, and it's cropped to the max!

We called in today for a few photos. the previous day I landed at the R side of the triangular niche (centre of picture), scrambled above the "green zone" (weedy but not particularly slippery), then scrambled L to reach the easy slabs, then up the skyline to the summit. I didn't dare take the camera as there was a fair chance I'd fall in (I was roped). Turned out to be quite straightforward and I remained dry (above the knees). Not often landed or climbed these days I guess.
