Born in Caerphilly, this statue outside the famous castle is in honour of the town's famous son. This is not a new artistic direction, I was just playing with a very simple photoshop technique for creating 'tiny planets'; this video is clear and simple www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQbC_Geuwao

This is the same scene as THIS planet.
it's been redone with a better camera, a tripod and better software at every stage of the process and yet I actually prefer the first one. Largely because of the trees in it. There's a lesson to be learned there
Also, due to battery/laziness issues I did this shot over two days, one clear and sunny the other heavily overcast and gloomy and then faked it later in photoshop. Hopefully the join isn't too visible

I tried my hand at another "tiny planet" and was happy with the core of it, but not the corners. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'll continue the research because the results are still fun.
