Probably Australia's most iconic biscuit ever. A bit too sweet for me. For Macro Mondays, theme: biscuit. HMM
Noticed a few of my Flickr friends posting photos for the Macro Monday group so thought it might be a good thing to join & challenge my photography to try the different weekly themes. So here is my first attempt for this week's theme - biscuits (or cookies as our US friends call them). These are arguably Australia's favourite decadent biscuit, Tim Tams. And being a dark chocoholic, they are the dark chocolate variety Tim Tams. The bonus of this theme is I get to eat the props :)
The best way to have a Tim Tam is to have it with a cup of tea (or hot chocolate), bite the ends off the Tim Tam, then use it as a straw to suck the tea through. Sounds weird saying it like that, but tea never tastes better :)
Looking Close... on Friday: Food with layers
Q: Why do they put 11 Tim Tams in a packet?
Could it be so that you buy more than one packet ... or you break one to share :)
"Created in 1964, Arnott’s Tim Tam is Australia’s most loved & most iconic chocolate biscuit. Indulge in irresistible layers of Tim Tam with a mouth-watering combination of smooth chocolate coating, crunchy biscuit and a luscious velvety centre.
What more could you wish for?"

It is what it says! HSoS :)
Sound & Vision, consisting of Akiko Kinoshi and Dixmix Source, entertained us with a mesmerizing mix of tunes, dance and particles.

Notes:
Put together from several small clips, this does not make justice to Dixmix' work. This is also mostly close up. To see the full show as it is intended to be viewed, in 4k, with music matching the show, watch Aki's version on YouTube. Go on, it's worth it!

Coffee + Tim Tams, the iconic Australian chocolate biscuit.

Yum!
because I'm fairly sure Tim Tams would be the death of me.
I received a package today from *Linda my Australian frind in food with lots of caramel goodness and cherry candies and mints.
I've so far tried only one Tim Tam and... holy cow. I seriously don't even want to share them with my own children. I'd like to send some comparable American candy in return. Suggestions?
Lucky for me (unlucky for my waistline) the internet says they'll be coming back to the US in a week or so.
After a few days of hiding due to the bad weather and wind that has been going on, TimTam [my name for this Tawny Frogmouth couple] were back on their favorite branch.
Some nearby Parrots and Ravens wouldn't be quiet and it seemed to disturb TimTam a little, clearly the Frogmouth on the left needs more sleep.

Got pretty sick yesterday. Was shaking with fever on the couch. I hope, it won't get worse and i can keep up the project!
The light here came from a television. In the Bokeh you can see some sweet from New Zealand that my girlfriend received from her mother. These TimTams are pretty nice and obviously there's a special technique to use them as a straw for hot milk or something....

7 Days of Shooting – Week 1 (w/b 9th July) Biscuits: Now, this might be difficult for some of us as you might not like a biscuit or cookie covered in chocolate and all beautifully crumbly! Yippee, this week we get to eat what we shoot ~ have fun but don’t nibble too much!!
Well, this is exactly what I did; bought a packet of chocolate Tim Tams, which I only have once in a blue moon due to always watching what I do not eat. This one packet of Tim Tams is my main prop for this weeks topic and then I will eat them - all for a good cause, of course. ;o))))

We receive lots of camera donations here at The FPP but every now and then there's something for The Gang! Thanks FPP listener Doug Golupski for the Tim Tams. Fist time "Black Forest" flavor!!!
This vibrantly coloured building sits at the end of a small triangular park (Taylor Square) where Patterson Lane and Oxford, Flinders and Bourke Streets intersect. Being in the heart of Sydney's gay village, the colours represent the Bisexual Flag.
You know those recurring themes thing - Met this dog a few days ago and just happened to find her matching floor, somewhat more difficult with an easyshare see Willow (and even before this was written I had received more comments than any other pic and in record time- I mention this as I was debating as to whether this was good enough. Goes to show. I am not a good editor and I can be very wrong This was the 1 photo by Flickr - Interesting on the date March 27th 2005.
