Overstamped with Dandelion Frame and sentiment from Hero Arts

- Traded-

Made this for Jennifer McGuire's Thinking Inking class at 2Peas. I stamped the flower branch from Asian Frames set randomly on a piece of BasicGrey pp then heat embossed it with clear powder. Then I rubbed terra cotta and butterscotch paint dabber paints (my awesome paint dabber prize from week 3!!!!) all over the embossed piece. After rounding the one corner, I distressed the edges with walnut stain distress ink. The bottom pp is also distressed with walnut stain. I think the not-so-perfect clear emboss played into the distressed look...

The butterfly is crackle painted on a piece of Grungeboard then rubbed with some walnut stain and some pearl paint dabber paint, then stamped then embossed with white.

Clean and comfortable.

After moving 3 times in the last 6 years, you learn to go ahead and first unpack what will make your new house a home, whether it is some of your photos in frames or your child's favorite toy. They may not be things you absolutely need, but it makes your home feel familiar.

I have been soooo inspired by Carole's cards and decided to play with my doily stamp based on this beautiful card!!!

The doily was stamped with versamark then clear embossed on white CS. The inks are distress inks except for the black versafine. Bird was clear embossed, then highlighted with Copics R22 and E35. The brocade was stamped using the new DI Pumice Stone. Thanks for looking!!

Tim Holtz - Flights of fancy

I used a Tim Holtz die in my Big Shot and adapted the pattern slightly.

I'm going to have lots of fun making variations of this.
