"Time" is my contribution to the photogroup Photosunday on theme "Eternity".
A young man sitting lonely on the plattform, with earphones on the head and the feets on his skatebord. Maybe his waiting for a train to arrive? ...or not!

Wouldn't it be nice to go back in time and see yourself at the age of six? Better yet, to be able to ask your father all the questions you never asked when he was alive. A nice dream.
Flash McCaul (Friesan Fire -- An T M by Cryotoclearance) being loaded into stall 2 for the start of the Private Terms Stakes (Race 6) on March 12, 2016, at Laurel Park Race Track in Laurel, Maryland.
It all began when I put a heart into a bezel and decided to trap it with a piece of rusted mesh wire. At that moment I knew that this had to go onto a cuff bracelet … a romantic, turn of the century inspired cuff.
Inspired by the time where men still courted their ladies, drink tea on porches and go on one knee to ask for their hand in marriage, this mixed media cuff bracelet is a fully handsewn piece made up of an old faded jean seam, old crocheted tablecloth, stained linen, rustic Howlite, brass wires and chains, stained lace, stained gauze and a time capsule in the form of a heart trapped in rusted wire.
*the cuff fits a 6.5 inch wrist snugly, but has extensions to fit to a 7.5 inch wrist

There'll be time enough for rocking when we're old
We can rock all day in rocking chairs of gold
But tonight I think I'd rather just go dancing
There'll be time enough for rocking when we're old, my love
There'll be time enough for talk in the nursing home
Darling, time enough to write an epic poem
But tonight I think I'd rather just go dancing
There'll be time enough for talking in the home, my love
There'll be time enough for sleeping when we're dead
You will have a velvet pillow for your head
But tonight I think I'd rather just go dancing
There'll be time enough for sleeping when we're dead, my love
There'll be time for sex and drugs in Heaven
When our pheromones are turned up to eleven
But tonight I think I'd rather just go dancing
There'll be time enough for sex and drugs in Heaven, my love
And time enough for rocking when we're old

Toys R Us store in Tea Tree Plus (next to Tea Tree Plaza) on North East Rd, Modbury.
Opened in August 1995 with a big inflatable Geoffery on the roof at that time!
The Tea Tree Plus store is one of 44 stores operating in Australia with three (there was a fourth in Rundle Mall which closed in 2012) in the Adelaide Area - Gepps Cross, Noarlunga Centre & Modbury (Tea Tree Plus). The chain started its Australian operations in 1993 with local retailer Coles Myer responding with its own chain World 4 Kids the same year which ultimately failed closing for the final time in 2002.
Following the collapse of the chains in the US and UK, the Australian chain went into voluntary administration in mid March 2018 with all stores remaining open at the time. Unable to find a buyer it announced the closure of the chain in June with closing down sales starting Friday June 22.
This photo was taken after the store closed.

The field trip took us to Lake Naivasha, north of Nairobi. While there we were witness to some direct climate change impacts, and some solutions - in the form of a geothermal plant that has the potential to supply energy for much of sub-Saharan Africa.
But being a nature reserve, and in the rift valley, there were many other tours heading in the same direction. At the entrance to the park we met this group of school children. Instantly the members of our party were there, capitalising on the curiosity that the students were feeling towards this mixed-nationality, mixed-generational group.
The topic soon turned to Climate Change - education was, after all, what the conference was about. Enticed by prizes of UNEP hats and badges, we started an impromptu quiz. The kids knew their stuff, and many left wearing blue baseball caps and small silver pins with pride.
Such a small gesture, but I hope that the seed was planted in their heads. The idea of their responsibility as they grow. The idea of the role they must play. Africa may be the hardest hit by climate change, but the opportunity to act, to develop in a different way, exists there like in no other place. Much of what remains of the Earth's resources and diversity is in Africa, and none of us can afford for it to be destroyed.
See the rest of the conference pictures here.

Had the opportunity go shoot a BMX Freestyle rider this evening. The dude could catch some serious air time! Really fun shoot.
Mono Pass and Little Lakes Valley, Eastern Sierra, CA. Time to head back. Back on the trail along the side of the mountain climbing down a series of switchbacks to the Little Lakes below.
Mono Pass Trail Hike, Little Lakes Valley, California. Located about a half an hour from Bishop, the Little Lakes Valley is one of the easiest access points to the High Sierra in California. Turning off from Highway 395 at the junction of Tom's Place, a paved road leads straight up into the mountains, terminating at a place in the John Muir Wilderness called Mosquito Flat just over 10,000 feet in elevation (one of the highest elevation paved roads in the state). From here, you can take the relatively easy hike among the glacier-carved lakes along the Little Lakes Valley and Rock Creek. Or, you can take the more challenging paths, up into the mountains.
From the trailhead at the valley floor, the trail follows along Rock Creek for the first half mile, until you reach a junction, turning left abruptly up along the flanks of Mount Starr. Climbing steadily for the next mile up to 11,000 feet, where a small spur leads off to Ruby Lake, situated at the very edge of the treeline. The trail then turns left again, heading around the southern edge of Mount Starr, climbing higher and getting more rugged with each step.
Turning northward, leaving the last of the hardy vegetation behind, it's a landscape of greys and browns, bare rock and lichens. Finally passing over the wide saddle of Mono Pass at 12,000 feet at the 3 1/4 mile mark, it's like a moonscape. Even at this extreme elevation, this is one of the more easily accessible path over the nearly-impassable Inconsolable Range of mountains, and this pass has been used for centuries by Indian tribes and (later) explorers. Yet it is only snow-free for a few short months during the late summer and early fall.
From here, the trail levels out, dropping slightly to Summit Lake half a mile to the north - a clear blue snow-fed depression at 11,900 feet. From here, the trail continues along the western slopes of the Sierra Crest, first to a little cirque called Fourth Recess, then into Pioneer Basin - far too remote for a day hike and reserved for only the dedicated backpackers. I turned around and returned back along the Mono Pass Trail, down to Ruby Lake and then back to the Little Lakes Valley. Sunburned and exhausted but satisfied to have explored this remote corner of California.
This is a popular place to hike, and there are plenty of other photographs of the region by others on the internet. For more information, here are a few websites to visit:

The Hens in Yongding are more lucky than those in Hong Kong. They are not caged and walk freely from here to there. Although they will become a delicious meal somedays, they at least enjoy freedom in the lifespan.
Sorry for posting so many photos of chicken=.= but I would like to say there are more animal photos to come tomorrow, before I move on to post street photography and the architectural ones from Wednesday onwards, let's have fun first :)
