Just as it appeared on the last day this house was occupied. A true time capsule abandoned for approximately 13 years. The second row from the bottom on mugs all have the logo "Federated Women's Institutes of Ontario". The refrigerator is very close to falling through the floor into the basement.
CSX Q234 knocks down Automatic 97 on the CSX River Subdivision, which are some of the last New York Central signals along the line. The signals are soon to be replaced due to PTC signal upgrades, such upgrades which can already been seen here. "Time's arrow neither stands still nor reverses. It merely marches forward."

Quotes from www.imdb.com/title/tt2567026/quotes
Mad Hatter: [to Time] Is it true that you heal all wounds?
March Hare: [sits next to Time and elbows him] Time is on my side!
Mad Hatter: Why is it that you wait for no man?
Mallymkun: [covers one eye] I just can't find the time!
[Cheshire appears behind Time]
Mallymkun: Cheshire! Where have you been? You're late.
Cheshire Cat: [lands on Time's shoulders] Actually, I'm right on time.
[Cheshire disappears and Mallymkun, March Hare, and Mad Hatter all laugh]
Mad Hatter: [grabs Time's hand] I have time on my hand!
Time: [losing patience] You silly nitwits really think that I've not heard these cheap jabs before? Your attempts at mockery fall flat.
Mad Hatter: [plays with Time's shoulder pads] Look! Time is flying!
Time: [stands up furiously] Enough! No more wasting me!
Mad Hatter: [nervously] I'm having the time of my life?

This sim is very impressive, I was there a long time...it gives a very strange feeling with the combination of sad music and this world, you really feel that you are at the end of the world, staying in a rest of the world after destruct. So I can´t explane it in english...look self ;)

It for sure needed a good bath, Dirty little baby lol
Time why you punish me?
Like a wave bashing into the shore
You wash away my dreams
Time why you walk away?
Like a friend with somewhere to go
You left me crying
Can you teach me 'bout tomorrow?
And all the pain and sorrow running free?
'Cause tomorrow's just another day
And I don't believe in time

I came across an thought provoking write up from Rathish Nair's blog:
Sharing it with you here:
When I was about 6 yr old , I loved to be a teacher and I want to punish all my classmates . Once I saw a guy selling Ice cream near to my school and I focused to become an “Ice cream wala” . I even told my parents ” I want to become an Ice cream wala ” . I thought once I will become an Ice Cream wala then I will be happy . In a festival I saw lot of elephents. At night my dream was full of elephents and its care taker . Soon I switched over to become an elephent care taker from ice cream wala .
When I was in high school my problem was Why don’t I have a girlfriend ? .This is a question that practically every male has asked himself at one point or another in his life. After having a girl friend I realised that I am in a DEADLOCK . when I was alone I was happy.
Once I got into college, I was more interested in computers, so I went the IT route. Still working as a software engineer for someone else with boring schedule and leading a machine life .
Why we are not happy ??. Why always thinking to switch over one to another ?? .
We have all procrastinated at some time in our lives. I know I have, only to have regretted it later. The habit of procrastination fatigues you more than the effort it takes to do it.
He slept beneath the moon
He basked beneath the sun
He lived a life of going to do
and died with nothing done.

When I Become a Big Boy
This is like the little boy who says when I become a big boy, I will do this and this and I will be happy. And when he becomes a big boy he says, when I finish college and do this and this and I will be happy. And when he finishes college he says when I get my first job and do this and this I will be happy. And when he gets his first job he says when I get married and do this and this and then I will be happy. And when he gets married he says when the kids get out of school and I do this and this I will be I happy. And when the kids get out of school, he says when I retire and do this and this, I will be happy. And when he retires what does he see? He sees life has just gone by in front of his eyes.
Life is not a dress rehearsal. I don’t care what philosophy you believe in–we have got only one shot at this game called life. The stakes are too high.
What time is it and where are we? The answer is now and we are here. Let’s make the best of now and utilize the present to the fullest. The message is not that we don’t need to plan for the future. The message is that we do need to plan for the future. If we utilize our present to its fullest, we are sowing the seeds for a better future automatically.
Do it right now and FINISH IT OFF …..
Have a great weekend!

Encaustic collage on Birch panel.
Part of a recent exhibition where artists were required to respond to an image sent to them.
The image I received was a sculpture by fellow artist John Hall called Brother Sun Sister Moon.
It inspired this response from me involving a local landmark - The Copt Hill - ancient trees known locally as the Seven Sisters, growing over an mesolithic site. The moon, its cycles, the tides skies... kinda evolved. You get the idea.
It measures 60 x 60cms
The trees and the limpets are embedded photographic images, the keys are real, and the barnacles. clouds and surface are pigmented beeswax.
It's a beautiful material to work with.
You can see more here
Just open the Encaustic page.
Time zones are always interesting. Leave New Orleans at 7am, spend hours in the air, layover in Dallas, land in San Diego at 9am. Somewhere over Louisiana.
My camera and I haven't been too close this last week or so. She wants to head out and hit the trails, and I have to keep denying the chance in favor of, well, those various reasons that always seem to get in the way of doing the things we want to do.
Instead, today, when I'm feeling every one of the years I've seen fly by, I decided to dig into the archives and find a moment when the only thing that mattered was the complete cessation of time. When the day kissed the night and everything stood still.
