“We all have our time machines. Some take us back, they're called memories. Some take us forward, they're called dreams.”
~ Jeremy Irons
“Time is like a river. You cannot touch the same water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Enjoy every moment of your life!”
My parents are visiting me in my new home. They will leave tomorrow morning.
After a delicious sunday lunch cooked by my mom, now it's time to relax.
Un año en Flickr / One year in Flickr

Took a little break from our 'once upon a nightmare' Halloween hunt. couldn't finish it in time but we gave it all we had.
From straight on you could look straight through this old barn. It was odd; I couldn't figure out why it would be this way, with some of the siding removed. Maybe the owners were removing the siding to sell it as "weathered barn wood," but I don't know.
I've been trying to take a picture of this barn for a long time, one way or another, but nothing ever really worked before. It's just something I pass on the way back from one of my 12-step meetings. (I've never asked for permission to go onto the property, something I've been meaning to try.) A lot of failures went before this shot.

Struggling is just a part of my day.
Many obstacles have been placed in my way.
I know the only reason that I make it through
Is because I never stop believing in You.
Some people wonder why we're here in the first place.
They can't believe because they ain't never seen your face.
But even when you pray, the next day you gotta try.
Can't wait for nobody to come down out the sky.
You've got to realize that the world's a test.
You can only do your best and let Him do the rest.
You've got your life and you've got your health.
So quit procrastinating and push it yourself.

What does not matter ?😜
1.What to photograph - Camera. 📷📱
2.Where to photograph - Place. 🌋
3.When to photograph -Time.🌅🌄
.
What is important ?😎
1.Study and tune the camera. 👨🔧
2.Learn where you are going.
3.Study the lighting at different times.🌞🌚
.
What's the secret?♀️
1.Feel the instrument, hear what it says. 🙏
2.Feel the atmosphere of the place, catch the wave. 🌊
3.Switch on .Catch the moment!⚡️

Low tide is the best time, at least for beach photography. After months of my schedule or other life things interfering with my ability to do so, I finally made it over to the pier at the monthly sunrise that coincides with low tide. My very specific goal was to shoot the pier reflected in the low flat area of the beach that is only exposed at low tide and gets gently washed over by low waves on a calm morning to renew the mirror. It’s a bit of a dance to keep your feet from getting soaked, but it is fun. Here Santa Monica Pier’s famous Ferris wheel, covered in solar powered LED lighting, reflects in the temporary mirror just before sunrise.
This is my take on the Back to the Future DeLorean time machine. I wanted to make it as accurate to the movie as possible including the lightning rod, Mr. Fusion, etc. as well as being able to hold figures.
Another thing I really wanted to do was to put transparent bricks in all of the windows, because most MOCs just leave the windows empty. I also decided to include opening doors, despite the fact that they're pretty fragile.
This is actually the second time I have built this vehicle. The old one was extremely disproportionate, so I decided to have another go. I'm much happier with it this time around.
Time for "sleep" inside The Conjuring House. Come to find out, it's ME that goes bump in the night with the lights nearly off. Ya know, being too tall for a 17th century farmhouse ceiling and bumping into everything during a paranormal investigation. We did stay overnight though!

Today's photo tour sends us to the Magic Kingdom for a shot of Space Mountain. Most of the time, for my night shots, I use my tripod but sometimes you don't have that much time and you have to hand hold the shot. If you have a camera that is great using a higher ISO, then you dont need the tripod. This shot actually came out pretty well without having to take out my tripod. Will I take all my shots like this, probably not but at least i know i have that option. Have a magical day!

This is the photograph that I did as part of a collaboration shoot with Beth, but I never got around to uploading it on its own. This was also published in the December Edition of Digital SLR Magazine 2011.

Back from Boston. I'll be catching up now.
Trip update: It rained buckets non-stop Monday through most of Wednesday. Massive flooding in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Despite the weather we had a great time.
Except, for our trip home, at South Station Boston, after we settled into our table for a snack, it was announced that all Amtrak trains out of Boston were cancelled due to flooding.
Well, we scrambled to rent a car and made it home after a grueling eleven hour trip with backups and detours and bio breaks. At home it was 75 and sunny!
Looking forward to a great weekend.
I feel kind of lame uploading this but oh well. Its the only thing that has turned out decent this past week. I've been feeling a bit out of it lately. I think the stress of school is getting to me. But this is for school actually. Our weekly photo assignment. This weeks theme is "stoping time". I took it pretty literal.

"Inspiration" is what our little rescue Annie brought to our senior dog, Boo. Her effervescence brought out the puppy in our old girl and she learned how to really play with a doggie friend for the first time in her life. Boo is 14 and can still run like the wind, and although she might pull a few tricks out of her natural herding bag like cutting corners, she can keep up with her little youngster friend (who's a fast little bullet herself for being so low to the ground!). Thanks, Annie!! You've changed all our lives for the better.

We always used to call these clocks as children and would blow merrily at them until there was nothing left and the number of blows it took would be the hour of the day. I wanted to create something barely there so started with a Kim Klassen texture and just carried on until I had something which gave me the feeling I was looking for.
