The driver on an outbound Irish Rail EMU train waits for the signal to depart as an inbound train arrives on the other track.
This scene is at Drumcondra station, which is in Dublin, a few miles outside Dublin Connolly station, where the train originated.
After a big day riding in Outback Australia, it was time for these bikers to have a drink or two outside the Albert Hotel, Milparinka, NSW, Australia.
The Olympics may be over but my love for Curling will not go quietly into the night. Here's how my minifigs & I kill time while waiting for other project pieces dry!
Thanks to Distressed Jewell for the texture.

• The wind whispered through the trees, leaves trembling in response. A child laughed, her voice ringing like chimes. A wave kissed the shore, then retreated, leaving only foam.
An old man watched, hands wrinkled with time. He had learned that all things—laughter, sorrow, warmth, cold—were fleeting. The past was a memory, the future a dream.
A raindrop landed on his palm, cool and fleeting. He smiled. This moment, too, would pass. But for now, it was his.
Everything we see, hear, and feel is just a moment in time - precious, vanishing, infinite.

I think that this song is incredibly beautiful, but I have the hardest time listening to it. If only we could freeze time...

Firstly I must apologise to everyone for my absence on Flickr lately. It has been nearly 6 months since my last post
and have been lacking both time and inspiration.
Perhaps I just needed a spell, anyhow I seem to be finding some motivation to get back out. I must thank Steve for constantly trying to get me out shooting again, and we both went to Southport after work last week. Had a great time, salt air, clouds, Gold Coast, doesn't get much better!!
A cut open basic quartz clock gear mechanism from an old wall clock. Mostly nylon cogs apart from one brass that is visible. Shot with a 55mm lens at f5.6. Lighting from two sharp spots, one behind and one from the right. Image exposure blended in Gimp post acquisition to remove blown out copper and bring up the lower cogs.
Up there with the most unusual vehicles we've had to work on is this preserved Budapest Ikarus 260. It now lives in the UK, owned by Ikarus enthusiasts Dave Fricker and Michael Sherston.
The bus conforms to continental practice of limited seating capacity, maximum standing and three entrance / exits. Unusually for a relatively modern city bus though, it's high floored and underfloor engined. The latter is no doubt due to its length of time in production from when such a layout was pretty much standard. The Raba engine is a horizontal 6 cylinder turbo unit of about 9.6 litres and I believe owes its parentage in the dim distant past to MAN.
The photo was taken this evening as I left work, the Ikarus and the adjoining Royal Blue RE looked good in the car headlights so I thought I'd stop for a snap.
Time in Blue. I am taking a few shots of the tower before work on it starts in the new year. This one was taken from the Hospital Garden on the opposite side of the river during the "blue hour". I will need another go at this one as I moved slightly off centre while cleaning spray from the fountain off the lens!
If you're lost you can look - and you will find me
Time after time
If you fall I will catch you - I'll be waiting

Hopefully I will catch up with everyone soon.
Let's have fun !
Post-Processing : I merged this image with close to 115 different shots made on a tripod to have the same place each shot. Then I did masks on each layers in Photoshop on the final 34 last selected shots to make the final image.
Then I used HDR Efex Pro and Topaz Texture to have the final image with personal setups.
Strobist info : 2 bares speedlights on the left side of the camera on a wall in TTL mode at 24 mm.
Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity.

Thank you for stopping by. Am trying to catch up :-)
The burners are well and truly glowing as the Italian Tornado 6-63 departs Coningsby, who's church is seen in the distance
Spring is finally here, although I found this more suitable in view of current global events...
