and yes, still alive and kicking :)

sorry haven't had time to do much of anything on here as of late, reality taking up most of the time I have available lately...

But I admit some of the free time I have had has been spent doing music, picking up and trying again after a long absence...

Macro Mondays Theme : "Time"

I carry my time machine with me most of the time, it has come in many forms through the years but it is Music. A song can bring back the smell in the room the first time I heard a song play, music can bring back the taste I had with a food shared with music, a song will bring back vivid memories of friends all along the way. A second that crept in the frame is the camera that captures the moment forever.

It's that time of the year and a little rest to recharge the body most certainly helps.....

The cherry blossoms are blooming in some part of the city - trees in other parts aren't quite there yet, it's amazing how much it can vary, even in the same city. These ones in Harrison Park were out, and catching some glorious spring sunlight.

Apologies these aren't sharper, despite the sun, it was also quite windy, and the branches were constantly shaking and moving in the breeze

This boat is one of those which transport tourists to the beaches near Naoussa during the summer period. Now it's just waiting...

After receiving a heads up NS 5202 was leading NS P75, myself and my friend Alex shot down the R-Line to Monetta, SC where we caught up with them just before running around their train and heading back to Columbia. I believe this may have been my first time seeing a high-hood leading a "mainline" train out on the main. And could very well be my last too.

My dad used to sing a song about apple blossom time - well, it's here! The apple blossoms tend to be some of the later bloomers - after the cherries, dogwoods, and about the same time as the plums. These just opened up yesterday. In our yard outside Beaverton, Oregon.

Getting old is a journey, a journey with enormous memories.

Chasing the fleeting December sun...

Trying to create something different from everybody else s photo of the SMILE TUNNEL .

used levels,shadows/highlights and radial blur and a bit erasure to try and give a sense of time warp.

A shot I have done before but always worth revisiting

Time travelling water drops.

About two months ago we were on a drive to Thorold On for me to pick up a new guitar. Well, this is on the way so it was a must-stop as I have not been here in some time. I used the wide-angle lens I use for real estate shoots. The ship is quite bigger when you are in front of her.

BLACKBERRIES...

The blackberry is an edible fruit produced by many species in the genus Rubus in the family Rosaceae.

Very thorny!

Blackberry fruits are red before they are ripe, leading to an old expression that "blackberries are red when they're green".

The seeds contain oil rich in omega-3 (alpha-linolenic acid) and omega-6 (linoleic acid) fats as well as protein, dietary fibre, carotenoids, ellagitannins, and ellagic acid.

Folklore in the United Kingdom tells that blackberries should not be picked after Old Michaelmas Day (11 October) as the devil (or a Púca) has made them unfit to eat by stepping, spitting or fouling on them.

There is some value in this legend as autumn's wetter and cooler weather often allows the fruit to become infected by various molds such as Botryotinia which give the fruit an unpleasant look and may be toxic.

Have a lovely day and as always, THANK you for your time, M, (*_*)

I shot this well after midnight on the Knik River in Alaska this past June. Knik Glacier is in the background of this stunning setting. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit in Alaska and hope to return and will eventually. Got to give a shout out and thanks to my friend Jason Dahlquist for showing me around and giving me a great taste of what Alaska is all about.

I've been in a little processing/developing funk for a while now. That hasn't been the case for getting out there and getting shots but sitting in front of the computer and processing hasn't been a priority or a drive of mine as of late. Hopefully I can get rolling here soon and share some new images that I've taken the past year or so. Not sweating it thou because I know this all goes with the territory of photography. It comes and it goes and that's just the way it is.

Long time, I guess.
