Timanfaya National Park (Spanish: Parque Nacional de Timanfaya) is a Spanish national park in the southwestern part of the island of Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands. It covers parts of the municipalities Tinajo and Yaiza. The area is 51.07 square kilometres (19.72 sq mi),and the parkland is entirely made up of volcanic soil. The statue El Diablo by César Manrique is its symbol. It is the only Natural Park in Spain which is entirely geological, also Timanfaya National Park represents a sign of recent and historical volcanism in the Macaronesian Region. The last volcanic eruptions occurred during the 18th century as well as on the 19th century.

El Palmar - Buenavista del Norte - Isla de Tenerife - Canarias - Spain.
Entre los años 60 y 80 una empresa se dedicó a extraer de esta montaña arena llamada "zahorra" para la construcción.

Nationaal Park Timanfaya is een natuurgebied op Lanzarote, het gebied bestaat uit een uniek vulkanisch, "maan" landschap. Dit landschap ontstond door een vulkaanuitbarsting in 1730. Er is nog steeds sprake van vulkanische activiteit.
César Manrique (Arrecife, Lanzarote, 24 april 1919 – Tahíche, Lanzarote, 25 september 1992) was een kunstschilder, beeldhouwer, architect en bouwadviseur. Zijn stijl kan worden beschouwd als non-figuratief, in evenwicht met de omringende natuur. Veel gebouwen en projecten op het eiland Lanzarote zoals Mirador del Rio, Jameos del Agua, Jardín del Cactus, Cueva de los Verdes alsook het restaurant El Diablo in het Nationaal park Timanfaya en het hotel Gran Melia Salinas in Costa Teguise behoren tot zijn werken.
