At a park along Lake Geneva, in Geneva, Switzerland, there are beautiful Chateaus (mansions) and gardens. They are public buildings now that often used for education, offices, or theater.

Can you still remember the short video from a few days ago (unfortunately, as always, only visible on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook)? The video with the pan over the Elbe valley covered in fog.
Well, if you had leaned very far forward and looked down, then you would have seen something like this, because the place where I was standing is at the end of this rock formation (if you zoom in you can even see the viewing platform at the top of the photo).
It is a sight that always reminds me of a raging sea crashing onto a cliff with mighty waves and infinite power.
And if I look there long enough, I can even feel the roar and noise (so it's more like listening with the mind).
But instead there are just a few tiny little water droplets (well, there are more than a few) that have formed a cloud and are now completely relaxed, lying on a cushion of air, slowly drifting through the Elbe valley.
And even though I know all of this, the feeling of the cliffs still doesn't go away. And that's a good thing.
Könnt Ihr Euch noch an das kurze Video von vor ein paar Tagen erinnern (leider wie immer nur auf Instagram, TikTok und Facebook zu sehen) ? Das Video mit dem Schwenk über das mit Nebel bedeckte Elbtal.
Nun, hättet Ihr Euch da ganz weit nach vor gebeugt und nach unten geblickt, dann hätte ungefähr das hier gesehen, denn die Stelle, an der ich da stand befindet sich am Ende dieser Felsformation (wenn Ihr hineinzoomt könnt Ihr die Aussichtsplattform sogar am oberen Rand des Fotos sehen).
Es ist ein Anblick, der mich jedes Mal an ein tosendes Meer erinnert, welches mit mächtigen Wellen und unendlicher Kraft an eine Steilküste brandet.
Und wenn ich lange genug dort hin schaue, dann kann ich das Tosen und Rauschen sogar fühlen (Es ist also mehr ein Hören mit dem Verstand).
Doch statt dessen sind es nur ein paar winzig kleine Wassertröpfchen (na gut es sind mehr als ein paar), die sich zu einer Wolke zusammen geschlossen haben und nun völlig tiefenentspannt, auf einem Luftpolster liegend, langsam durch das Elbtal treiben.
Und auch, wenn ich das alles weiß, geht das Steilküstengefühl trotzdem nicht weg. Und das ist gut so.

TikTok affirme avoir « investi des milliards de dollars pour protéger les données américaines et protéger notre plateforme de toute influence et manipulation extérieures », tout en ajoutant que l’interdiction « dévasterait sept millions d’entreprises et réduirait au silence 170 millions d’Américains ».

American social media users woke up this morning to find that they no longer had access to TikTok after the much-anticipated ban was implemented.
Multiple U.S. agencies and public officials have stated that TikTok poses a national security risk to the United States because, at any time, the Chinese government could compel the company to hand over a huge trove of U.S. citizens’ data.
TikTok says it has “invested billions of dollars to keep U.S. data safe and our platform free from outside influence and manipulation.” While adding that the ban will “devastate seven million businesses and silence 170 million Americans.”

The only reason I did the swirl blur is because shooting at 135mm F/2.8, I didn't have a photo where both of their faces were critically sharp. Therefore, I PNG-ed both of the women and placed them on top of one of the images. However, the outlines didn't match up perfectly for one of the women as her pose was slightly different than her PNG, so I added a swirl blur to get rid of the weird double outline...
