Taken one week after surgery; you can see the bruising on the right side, & the swelling is going down a bit. 10/7/10

Three weeks after surgery; still healing well, though the internal swelling remains quite uncomfortable (my throat is getting sore from having to swallow around a constant golf ball). Hoping the swelling will start to subside soon. 10/21/10
Five weeks after surgery; still rather swollen inside and out & the right side (left side in this pic) is a bit more raised than I'd like, but the scar continues to heal relatively well. 11/4/10
6 weeks after surgery; I started using calendula oil on the scar & it has healed up even more nicely since I began doing so; you can see that the right side (left side in this pic) isn't nearly as raised as it was a week ago. Still swollen, but the golf ball feeling in my throat is gradually getting smaller. 11/12/10
Two weeks after surgery; healing up nicely thus far, though the internal swelling is rather uncomfortable at this point (like swallowing around a golf ball). 10/14/10
Four weeks after surgery; this photo lets you see the scar a bit more clearly than the previous shots. You can also see that there's still significant swelling which remains bothersome & uncomfortable. Definitely ready for that to start subsiding any day now. Beyond that, I'm pleased with the healing process thus far. 10/28/10
