This morning Daisy has been to the vets. Daisy is on daily medication for her thyroid problem but recently we have noticed that she hasn't been quite her normal self. She has also lost a bit of weight and with her being an elderly lady wanted to get her checked over. Daisy had a blood test so we will now have to wait for the results and keep our paws crossed.

elisa_f: Can't she have the Hill's diet for cats have this problem? My cat is having the same problem and the diet seems to work. Though this morning she didn't eat as much as she usually does, hope she will eat more tonight.

sfhfc: @elisa_f thanks for the info. We may look into that. The difficulty which we have with special diets is that we don't have segregation at our hospice, all the cats live together, making it hard to keep an individual cat on one food. I hope your cat eats better later

elisa_f: Actually if you have a fixed feeding scheule, it's possible. But you have to separate this cat from the other when feeding. Cuz this cat cannot and should not eat other stuff, and other cats cannot have this special food. It might be tricky for you though, I have fewer cats than you do. ;)
