Actually, I wanted to photograph the foggy mood in the morning. An approaching thunderstorm changed the shooting conditions ... as is so often the case in landscape photography.

Sunset and thunderstorm on Lake Seliger. The sun sets over the Orthodox Convent of the Tver Diocese, located one and a half kilometers from the city of Ostashkov, on the island of Lake Seliger Zhitnom;
Lake Seliger is the largest (260 sq. Km.) Of the system of the Upper Volga lakes located in the Ostashkovsky, Penovsky and Selizharovsky districts of the Tver region and partly in the Novgorod region. In total, there are more than 240 large and small lakes. The uniqueness of Seliger in his geography. A fast approaching storm rising above Alaska's Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge caught my eye. The mix of colors and drama was captivating.

An active thunderstom over Louisville CO shows off its inner glow with multiple cloud to cloud lightning strikes. An airplane flying towards the storm makes a turn away as indicated by the the line of double dots in the lower left quadrant. The orange-y glow in the sky is from the lights of Denver to the right.
Thunderstorms have been abundant thus far in eastern Colorado, even before the arrival of the t-storm season associated with the summer monsoon. Precipitation is already around 80% of the annual average with half the year to go.
Looks like the warm days of summer are over now, when I visited the windmill of Eisbergen Sunday afternoon the 18C felt quite chilly. Rain, thunder and rainbows completed a dramatic sky. Porta Westfalica, Ostwestfalen, Germany
yesterday there was a big thunderstorm, the whole sky turned yellow, I didn't photoshopped the photo, it are the real colours. I know it's kinda bad quality, but I took this shot very quick, because I stood there in the rain while I didn't wear some shoes and I didn't want to become wet.

One of the last thunderstorm here around Kiel/Germany. This storm was not far away this day and the clouds amazing.
This was the end of a long period of extremely warm and dry weather.
