Listen, it comes with 3 different size needles: i believe there are a .2, .3, & .5 Dont worry yourself with all of that for now and just leave the one in it that comes with it - it is the medium size. •One of the most important tips for this dual action which means you press the trigger down for air flow, and pull back for paint flow. Always have it pressed down and have the air flowing...don't pull back the trigger for paint without the air on. •If you plan on using alcohol inks get you a spray bottle and put just regular isopropyl alcohol in it to clean it out between colors and after you are finished with it. Be sure to clean it every time after your finished using it - don't leave paint in it or it will dry up and clog it and you will have to take it apart to clean it which is a whole nother learning experience (but at some point you may have to).
