On August 12, 2015 the Persoid Meteor shower was at its peak in 8 years. I managed to capture this exciting image of a shooting star going towards the Milky Way at Price Lake. The light painting was done with an incandescent mag light.

'Seventies Throw Pillows by Su_G': my entry in Spoonflower's '1970s Throw Pillows' Design Challenge. The brief called for "highly saturated colors, geometric shapes and forms, flower/plant-based motifs" that we could imagine seeing in a newly decorated home in the 1970’s. You have to be the judge of that as my 1st recollection of the seventies is of pastels... and then orange, brown and lime green (there was a particular lime green called 'sublime' - I kid you not - that was used in car paint; I commemorated it in another design: 'Mod Pickles Sub-lime by Su_G'). I guess what we learn from this is that colourways are datable and reflect their times and cultures; this won't be news to most designers!

2014.06.19 - On this day I received new pillows for Menina Lisboa, my other business asides photography. And before shipping them, I had to style them for a few pictures! I love the floor on my bedroom and the window light! And I love my pillows... there I said it! :)

I made a few throw pillows for the living room this afternoon; two of which were made from my Opa's shirts & sweaters.
Scott isn't too sure if he's a fan of the style, but that's okay because I really like having a reminder of Opa so close by.
The third pillow I made is in the background and is one of my old sweaters that doesn't quite fit right since it met with the dryer but was too cute to throw away.

Made from 14 angled strips of 4 coordinating Amy Butler fabrics. I wove the strips together and then topstitched where they met.
first attempt at hexagons. i couldn't find a tutorial on the proper way to do them so i just made it up as i went. really happy with the results. i love rainbows. =)
I have been working on the Gingerbread house for over a Month now making all the miniatures,

Making many forms in my shop is just as fun, as you see the couch was carved from pine
covered with starch the mold the gum paste over it to dry,
The woodgrain on the table to the left came out awesome, looks like tiger maple,
All done with sugar and everything is addible,

This is my second favorite place at home: my spot on the couch.
I pile up all the pillows, blankets and "things to do" in one place so I don't have to go too far for more comfort or entertainment. And the doggins stay close by too. You can even see my cheek prints. :| 2/52
