I was at my daughter's house last night and these raccoons came to the door, probably looking for food and warmth. Suddenly they both stood up at the same time, as though pleading. I took this shot handheld through the window - it was below freezing outside.
My photo outing got cancelled today and has been postponed to Friday, but with the below freezing temperatures and black ice on the roads, I have a feeling it won't be happening.
I took this in November, when we still had colour in the backyard. Taken from inside with the sun coming through the blinds.
HSS!
We're in the midst of the snow storm that was predicted - not going anywhere today.
The rose arbor across the street with rhododendrons in the background. Captured on a very foggy morning.
Hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend! Thanks, as always, for stopping by and for all of your kind comments -- I appreciate them all.

While stopping in Skagway, Alaska, we took the train through White Pass. I tried to shoot all the wonderful scenes through the window, but the train was moving quite quickly and the windows were dirty. So I figured, might as well do some ICM, combined with the movement of the train.
I've struggled with the idea of posting this one
A beautiful bird but an unwelcome visitor to our garden
This was the aftermath we witnessed taking place a few days ago.
Sadly one of our little sparrows lost it's life before we witnessed this scene.
I understand we eat meat, so in theory I'm no different from this Sparrowhawk hunting it's prey
It's just so difficult to watch when for months on end the little sparrows who nested in our bushes, brought up what seemed like a multitude of offspring, fledged and continue to return to our feeders
We have grown so attached to their playful, funny characters
I'd certainly never make a wildlife photographer. Im in tears watching Frozen Planet 2
I'd want to try and save them all
Well, I also thought although not in flight I can capture images of birds (not the blurry variety)
Not crystal clear, taken through the kitchen window, which may have needed cleaning
It tells a story, if nothing else
We just hope he doesn't chose to do a return visit
I took this through the window of a Honeybee store with my CZ Jena Pancolar lens.
I was totally offline yesterday. I had a very bad reaction to the flu vaccine, and then our power was out for 12 hours due to another huge windstorm.
We need water and we should be using it without wasting it... Can you guess where I took this shot ? I share for the group Smile on Saturday (The shape of water). HSS to all.
L'eau est essentielle pour nous tous. L'eau est liquide, solide et en vapeur. Je partage cette photo pour le groupe Smile on Saturday. Pouvez-vous deviner ou j'ai pu faire cette photo ? Bon WE a tous.
I spotted this squirrel in our communal garden this morning, then it came onto my patio. I took the photo through my patio doors, it would have disappeared otherwise!
Saw a building with a broken window and a "NO TRESPASSING" sign, so of course couldn't resist taking a peek.
Had to take this through some chicken wire!
As I was putting my camera away before catching the tram, I looked up and saw this lady watching me out of a tram window.
I lifted my camera, pressed the shutter… and her tram moved on….
In our beautiful village there is a park and there is an old Russian tea house. The windows had such great ice flowers that I really wanted a photo. Since the windows were so high and the perspective of the ice flowers would not have been shown well, I had to climb onto a one-legged table. LoL, it was funny, but that's also why the window frame is a bit crooked ;-). Anyway, thanks to Lockdown, there weren't any other people on the move either.
Stay safe all!
One fine evening, I’ve had enough of sitting in a chair and look through the window. I wanted to go out drink coffee and sit in a crowded cafes with their dazzling lights. After, I went walking by the pond, I saw a yellow light in the pond of the city hall.
