Donna Drachunas is going to knit this pineapple purse in Kreinik Silk Serica. She is using Kreinik Fashion Twist metallic thread as a carry along to add a touch of sparkle.

The incredibly thin 'waist' on this wasp led to its name.
Adults feed on flower nectar, but larvae are parasitic.
Females use their paralyzing sting to disable caterpillars and other insects. These unfortunate victims are then brought to an underground burrow (previously dug out by the female) to become food for the wasp's larva.

We needed some ubolts to mount the PV wire concentrator box with. We
of course would not find a ubolt suitable for this in my small town.
Instead we purchased two long all thread bolts and smoke made use of a
old propane forge to heat and bend them with.
Many hues of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, black, and gray rolls of thread hanging on peds on the wall.
This old lady was sitting here winding silk thread onto a spindle for use in the looms. She had half a dozen empty spindles in a bucket of water and put them on a spinning device that threaded silk thread on to it.
Do you recognise this doily? I copied it from one I found in a charity shop. I'd like to post the pattern on my blog but first I want to check that it isn't already readily available. TIA!
I save every thread unless its too short to embroider with.......Now I use the pieces as fillers, using all the color shades as one, ie., all shades of yellow as one yellow--that way I get a random variegation which I like. In Gabby's piece that is how I did it......
This process takes awhile, but it isn't too bad. I am threading up the new warp of Yarn Pirate and Koigu. Planning to use another sock yarn for the weft. This is going to be a colorful weave!
