Leonardo da Vinci said it best: “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”.
The way I understand it is that simplicity goes hand in hand with perfection. It shows how beautiful and elegant things are when they are not lost in the detail.
I have never been a believer that beauty is on the surface. Your beauty is inside of you, how you feel, how you represent yourself and finally how you express yourself.
We all have individual beauty. Let yours shine no matter what people think, do not let the social norm be your norm.
Let's enjoy the freedom from complexity, intricacy, or division. Get rid of the luxury, pretentiousness, deceit and guile.
Show the world your simplicity ❣

“Knock, And He'll open the door
Vanish, And He'll make you shine like the sun
Fall, And He'll raise you to the heavens
Become nothing, And He'll turn you into everything.”
― Rumi
Thank you to all my friends that have supported me through my trials with the neighbours and for sending me Get well wishes, it has meant so much to me, Thank you also for my 3 lovely testimonials fom CREllis2009,
RON HANKO and BRie-N. And thank you Ron Hanko, smiling orange and skipping in the meadow for dedicating photographs to me, I loved every one of them and will treasure the thoughtfullness for ever.
I want to be honest with you all and tell you the truth what is up with me and I am hoping I will not loose one friendship as each and everyone of you are dear to me.
I suffered depression after the birth of my son, and then agrophobia set in, I could not go out as I felt sufficated and scared, I was starting to get better, enabling me to take all the swan pics bulls, Gullivers world etc and feeling much better in myself, but since the incedent with the neighbours, I have had a nervous breakdown, i have reverted back into my illness, deep depression and unable to go out.
Last fri i finally cracked and the very top doctors came to my home, I thought I was going to be forced to go into hospital, but because of my childhood, they did not think i would benefit from it, so I am able to stay at home on the condition I will acept all help and if my health deteriates any more my husband will have to give up work to take care of me. My wonderful husband does not have any support from anyone and he is doing all he can for me on his own, he is even feeding my fish on face book bless him. It must be hard for him but he says he loves me and will do all he can to help me. My social worker from when I was a child who is so much like a mum to me came today and said she will help all she can but she lives miles away and is retired from work so I cant ask for too much from her, but she totaly loves me and has never left my side even though I came out of care at 18. Colin thank you for looking after me right now, and for being my wonderful husband, I love you so very much and I promise I will except all help and to take any tablets given to me in order to get better. Flickr friends, you are so amazing, I told my husband that you are also helping me by being so kind, I will always try to catch up with my comments to you all but sometimes I just feel to ill to come on. I guess I have what most people would call, a mental illness right now so that is why I am worried I may loose some of you. I hope I don't though As I really do mean all i say to you. I am an honest person and I am being honest with you now about my illness. I am still the same Chrissie that I was when you first met me on here, I can still even find my sense of humour sometimes, I can still apriciate all your wonderful photo's .

addadada is known for his posts of found objects. He found this felix the cat sticker on a wall of graffiti and broke his camera trying to photograph it. So he tore off the sticker and sent it to me!

I have said it before, but it doesn't hurt to say it again:
please, no multiple invitations to groups and no invitations without comments, please.
And also, avoid one word comments at all costs, PLEASE. Not only on my photos, everywhere.
It's really not nice to comment "nice" on people's photos. Every photographer knows their photos are "nice", if they didn't think their photos were "nice" enough, they wouldn't share them.
Please, take your time to develop a decent comment.
Someone said that the photographer shouldn't be so fazed by one word comments and rather focus on the good intentions of such comment.
I don't see it that way. If you can't spare a few more seconds to write a better comment, it can only mean that you are fishing for comments and will make the most comments you can in order to get more people to look at your photos.
Another excuse that is given is that "my english is very poor". I can perfectly understand any comment made in english, portuguese, french, italian and spanish, so there's no excuse. Also, if you are a speaker of any other language, you can very well use online translators to write simpler comments, but still longer than just "beautiful". You have learned what "beautiful" means, right? Make an extra unworldly effort and learn how to translate: "beautiful composition, amazing light too" or something like that.
If you absolutely have no time to write longer comments, than just fave the photo. If you don't think my photos are worthy of your very precioius fave, then just don't comment at all. I'd rather have only 50 thoughtfull comments on my photos than 100 comment and half of them being as meaningless as "beautiful". "Beautiful" what? Please, tell me what you think is beautiful on my photos. The model's eyes? The colors?
Look at the photo and show me you actually looked at it. Serial commenters can comment "beautiful" on nearly anything and I know for a fact that there are people that don't even wait for the photo to open before they comment.
And I wonder why did I even write this... serial commenters will NEVER stop to read this.

I saw this gentleman as I was walking through the park, at first from a distance it all appeared normal, a man sitting on a bench enjoying the afternoon sun which was highlighting him. It was only as I got closer did he pick up his bag and reveal the drink that he had hidden away in it. That drink was his only company.
If for any blink that I made, I was as thoughtfull as pushing my film camera's button...I would have had better memories today...
If for any moment that I spent, I was as sensitive as choosing the right scene for my shots...I would have had better experiences today
If for any decision that I made, I was as serious as mettering the right exposures...I would have had brighter life today.
I imagine my brain as a film
My eyes as a camera
and I decide to care more about my life-stream
A red rose from my garden.
Thank you all for the lovely and thoughtfull comments, invites and for taking time to look at my pictures.
You are the BEST!
....Is it Fall or what :)
This aint no accident, a Fluke of Nature, a result of a Big Bang, Big Bangs blow and burn things up. This is a result of Team Work, thats right Team Work and with a huge amount of creativity and thoughtfullness put into the final result and we know who the Team is. It is a famous Man and Woman duo, and is non other than our Heavenly Father and Mother Nature. And we all know behind every great man is a great woman :) My they do good work :)

Rennes, capital of Brittany. The ancient settlement of Condate, built at the confluent of the Ille and Vilaine rivers in the first century B.C., was probably founded by the Redones, the people of Armorica, and the Romans, the new masters of the whole of Gaul. At the end of the third century, the town known as “Civitas Riedonum” was given its first 1200m-high city wall. In the 15th century, the town’s rapid growth led to the construction of two further city walls to the north-east and south of the Vilaine, increasing the area of the walled city from 9 to 62 hectares. The Tour Duchesne and Portes Mordelaises are the main fortified remains from this period.
The Metropolitan district of Rennes comprises 43 towns and villages including the city of Rennes and today has a population of almost 416,000 (the third greatest population increase in western France), spread over some 67,000 hectares (598 inhabitants per km). After the influx of 45,000 inhabitants over the past 15 years, a further rise of 60,000 is expected between now and 2015. This population growth can be witnessed in Rennes, across the département and throughout Brittany as a whole. “Greater Rennes” stretches out around the central city, which has 210,000 inhabitants and is separated from the rest of the district by a green belt. This style of town planning has preserved the essentially rural identity of the suburban towns and villages. The Metropolitan district of Rennes has preserved vast farmlands in a fertile area along with numerous natural sites, notably along the River Vilaine and its tributaries.
The distinctive centre of Rennes blends seamlessly into the district’s contemporary urban fabric, thanks to a tried and tested planning policy which favours natural spaces and emphasises public transport and environmentally friendly ways of getting around such as the metro and cycling. www.tourisme-rennes.com/en/home.aspx
