This chipmunk that we found deep in the forest was hiding in plain sight. it thought by not moving it would not be found, and that nearly was the case. We could hardly see it in the light as diminished by the trees; had to turn the speed down and the iso up to photograph it. A little light came through a break in the tree tops which can be seen in the eye reflection.

Paws for thought⦠Portrait of a beautiful Sand Cat. In the wild these cats inhabit sandy and stony deserts far from water sources. With its sandy to light grey fur it is well camouflaged in a desert environment. The Sand Cat usually rests in underground dens during the day and hunts at night.
This captive example was seen at Exmoor Zoo.

I'm going to the coast in the morning, sort of a mini vacation, so I thought I would leave you with something peaceful. I've been wanting to make this trip for some time and now it's finally here. I hope to come back with plenty of seagull, pelican and boat images..;) I won't be gone lone and I may be able to check in while I'm gone. Hopefully, I'll have to much to do..;)
