Note: This is a deliberate out-of-focus street shot for the story below.

... As I wipe my eyeglasses clean, I glance towards the front street for possible ride options.

"So, what will it be today - the good old, rickety, airy, yellow-and-black auto-rickshaw or the swanky, air-conditioned, spotless-white Uber taxi?"

"I just need a quick and cheap two-mile ride to the coffee shop for my next meeting... :-/ "

"Ain't both quick and cheap at this time of the day?"

"Then the Uber taxi it is..."

"But, don't you care about the livelihood of the old, long-serving, self-employed auto-rickshaw driver?"

"Don't you ever talk without asking questions?" I chide my bespoke virtual assistant loudly >:-{ baffling the people on the street :-O

"Well, ain't you the one who programs me to be smarter than being just an intelligent order taker?"

"I'll walk it!" I mumble after a long pause, knowing fully well that the smart-ass is now going to be insanely muddled up for a while trying to figure out whether 'walking' is a general option, or a specific one in response to a vexed question ;-) ...

These critters totally amaze me with their agility and speed!

Found these at The Forks the other day and reminded me of this image I took last year. However I have no idea what this is or whether either or both are burrs. I certainly hadn't ever seen burrs bloom before.

Stitching is single needle and 3.5 mm. Do not recommend coverstitch.

The fabric I used for the binding is a cotton broadcloth with a bit of stretch. It worked out fine, but I would recommend you do some test samples with the binding and the fabrics you would like to use to ensure weight and drape compatibility.

Frick? You should probably chime in on this one.

The Beatrice Potter motifs are on an old child's sheet I use on my pressing board.
