Entering our first tunnel in PATH, Toronto's 19 miles of pedestrian tunnels, making it the world's largest underground shopping complex.

Our AirBnB host's boyfriend really tried to downplay PATH for me, saying all the stores are just as accessible from street level, and using the pedestrian tunnels was only useful for things like getting out of harsh winter weather. Apparently I did not impress upon him how much I love exploring engineering marvels!

There are so many picturesque pathways on the English countryside. This was taken on a hike on a very cold, snowy day in England.

Another tunnel in tunnel in PATH, Toronto's 19 miles of pedestrian tunnels, and the world's largest underground shopping complex. The network of tunnels connects well over 50 of Toronto's downtown buildings, which means you could visit Toronto in the dead of winter and still manage to see and do countless things without ever having to go outside.
