Enschede by night
The Twente Canal runs from Eefde (near Zutphen) via Hengelo to Enschede, with a branch to Almelo.

It's become almost a tradition: on the last weekend before Christmas, the quaysides of the Hoge and Lage der A are filled with charter ships during the atmospheric WinterWelvaart event. With their century old warehouses and stately buildings, the Der A's are among the loveliest spots in the city at any time ...
On Friday, January 10, 2020, the moon in the sky must be dark gray due to a partial lunar eclipse. There is less sunlight than normal. The earth stops the light. I found that rather disappointing. I still saw the moon clear. The eclipse started at 6:06 PM, the highlight was at 8:11 PM.
It is a so-called lunar eclipse in the secondary shade. That is the least eclipse there is. The moon travels along the edge of the Earth's shadow and therefore receives slightly less light than normal.

Much has already been said and written about Little C. See the previous post for a little sample.
The style of the building complex can partly be traced back to the inherent cynicism of the project developers that created a project that uses the morphology of ultimately very problematic urban districts/housing complexes like The Projects (New York) -and the long ago demolished Kowloon (Hong Kong) quarter.
This is for now the last of the Little C mini-series.

Amsterdam - Keizersgracht / Leidsegracht.
The Keizersgracht (Emperor's canal) is the second of the three main Amsterdam canals that together form the Grachtengordel, or canal belt, and lies between the inner Herengracht and outer Prinsengracht. The first part of the Keizersgracht was dug in 1615. The Keizersgracht was named after Maximilian I, Holy Roman Emperor (Wikipedia).
