Macro Mondays 01/01/2018 theme Redux 2017--My Favorite Theme of the Year.
With so many great themes to choose from I decided to start at the top of the list and work down and try to fit as many themes in to one photo. So starting with January 9th: Member's Choice--Inspired by a Song (Bat Out of Hell by Meat Loaf)
As it has a little heart I thought it would also fit February 13th theme: Heart
As its metallic it fits March 13th: Member's Choice: Made of Metal
Next on the list is October 30th theme: Halloween (my favorite holiday).
Last on the list is December 18th theme: Lit by Candlelight as this was how it was lit : )

When I started to photograph flowers and insects were what I photographed the most. Over the years my choice clearly shifted to other stuff.
Did you experience such a change in your photography style as you well?
I wonder what will come next for me 😉
This mesmerizing view from the city of Taif, located approximately 2000 meter above sea level. The city is blessed with beautiful mountain valley view enhancing the beauty of the landscape. The mountains here are solid rocky and the climate is pleasant throughout the year.
The visit was planned to take this photo but when the camera was ready to take photo the atmosphere got filled with beautiful white foggy clouds and nothing was visible after 5 meter of distance. It was disheartening and disappointing but later in night the sky got clear for very small period of time and this photo was taken.
Photography needs patience and patience gives you good result.

My favorite theme of 2017 was "members choice - inspired by a song" and this time I've chosen the song "Tumbling dice" by Rolling Stones.
A view of Lake Te Anau as we left the glow worm caves in a fast ferry boat. No photos allowed inside the caves but it was like looking up at a starry sky just a short distance from our faces in pitch black darkness. Our guide was silently pulling our small boat through the darkness somehow avoiding the walls of the cave and the other boat we knew went out into the cave lake before us.
Thanks for visiting and I look forward to comments!

For the theme "theme libre" of the Group "Psp-prisesurprise" (free theme)
For the new Mocro Monday theme I searched for beetles and bugs in the garden but couldn't find some. I think It's to cold or maybe I searched at the wrong place. Because I didn't find any bug in the garden I decided to search for a beetle made of sheetmetal ;-) I found three different ones.
I wish everyone a Happy Macro Monday and a nice start into the new week :-)
My choice for the "Macro Mondays" "Redux 2018 Theme :"Flame"
A Very Happy and Peaceful Christmas to you all

Thank you for taking the time to view my photo, and for the faves and comments you make, thank you.
HSS.... the macromonday theme for tomorrow, 11/16, is keyhole. Would love to use this but it might be a bit over the size parameters- haven’t measured it yet.
(later) i checked it and it fits-- see the first comment box
For this week’s Macro Mondays ‘Crime’ theme, I have chosen to photograph a ‘simulated’ drop of blood on the tip of a knife. Quite a difficult one this week, and as I expected, this is just one of a number of similar ideas. I also had the obligatory ‘fingerprint’, but opted for this one as it’s a little different. HMM everyone!
Simple lighting for this shot, it’s just a silhouette!
