A view of Lake Te Anau as we left the glow worm caves in a fast ferry boat. No photos allowed inside the caves but it was like looking up at a starry sky just a short distance from our faces in pitch black darkness. Our guide was silently pulling our small boat through the darkness somehow avoiding the walls of the cave and the other boat we knew went out into the cave lake before us.

For the new Mocro Monday theme I searched for beetles and bugs in the garden but couldn't find some. I think It's to cold or maybe I searched at the wrong place. Because I didn't find any bug in the garden I decided to search for a beetle made of sheetmetal ;-) I found three different ones.

With the deadly second wave and so many things happening around, photography has taken a back seat. My daughter pushed me to participate in today's challenge.
This was the concept shot I had taken, thinking will redo it with better setup.. but just couldn't push myself to do another take .. so here it is... shot on my phone and highly cropped so please excuse the grains.

It's actually remnants of a Moon Snail's shell. I found it while collecting seashells at Sanibel Island in Florida several years ago. This theme is a wonderful challenge: it wasn't until I had been looking for a pareidolia for a few days until I remembered this shell!

Later, trying to bring the crown into her midday rest for photos... not so great. After a few tries she resignedly did not throw off the crown immediately, but I'm not sure we can call this 'posing' as much as 'making me promise there would be treats for this in future.' This week the Snap Happy theme was 'Spring' chosen by Gary. I have decided to choose the boing type spring for my image.
Bicycle chain. Less than 1 1/2 inches. Square format. Photograped above a T-shirt background placed on the pavement.
Went of a bit of an outing today and ended at a little market where I bought some strawberries. These were left on the stall.

Day 67/365: 2015
The weekly theme is selective colouring.
I took the parasol out with me in the hope of finding somewhere interesting to photograph it but ended up with this fence. Not sure I'll manage to keep the theme up as I now have RSI from re-colouring! ;) It's quite time consuming too, a great theme though so I'll do my best.
Oh dear, I have just realised that to fit the theme the selective colour was meant to be done in camera, sorry!
