the macromonday theme for today, 6/29, is to match one of 4 colors to one of 4 objects. so the main match is is blue & paper and the secondary matches are: blue & pen and blue & flower, all with blue bokeh. (you knew this had to be mine, right?) .... time to dither a bit :)

When I started to photograph flowers and insects were what I photographed the most. Over the years my choice clearly shifted to other stuff.

...Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens ... that's what these whiskers remind me of and now I have an earworm that I thought I'd share with you 😊
This is my wildcard photo, which was not going to be posted. I already had a different one lined up but my fascination for this one kept leading me back to it so I thought I'd share it instead. I'm pleased that it's so in focus having taken it on a very windy day!

A view of Lake Te Anau as we left the glow worm caves in a fast ferry boat. No photos allowed inside the caves but it was like looking up at a starry sky just a short distance from our faces in pitch black darkness. Our guide was silently pulling our small boat through the darkness somehow avoiding the walls of the cave and the other boat we knew went out into the cave lake before us.

I always have a look in this shop when we visit Dirty Jane's Antiques Centre at Bowral. I do not think I have ever bought anything but I find it interesting.
