taken for macromondays theme: junk

This is the side of an old aluminum garbage can with a rusted handle. A rusted table fan is in the background. It's in a pile of mostly metal junk behind an old barn at Harkness State Park in Waterford, CT. There was a lot of interesting stuff there, but kind of hard for macros.

For some reason I keep hanging on to these odds-and-ends earrings. Some have lost their mates, other are broken ... my jewelry box is becoming another junk drawer!

Too often the junk mail is for junk food, but I rarely fall into the temptation of coupons and bargains .... although, that mug of rootbeer is starting to look pretty good as I hunt for other photographic "junk" in my house!
