Adjacent to the historic Greenwood Cemetery where my plot is.

SECOND TIME AROUND: Some of my contacts have been posting the most wonderful, messy shots lately. And I always remember this one, one of my favorite photos ever. Country girl in the city. Looking down my street at sunset. So I can remember ...

Third time around, 'cause Christine (www.flickr.com/photos/130281204@N06/) made me do it! www.flickr.com/photos/130281204@N06/53512527711/in/feed-1...

On the shores of Lake Concord. Still working on my mini Creation adventure album.

Probably the Dad, over in the Dad tree watching the two babies. Still praying for their Mama!

In the backyard God's garden!

An historic cemetery fence leading to what seemed like an old private family area. This is in our beautiful historic Greenwood Cemetery in The City Beautiful!

SECOND TIME AROUND September 2023.

Central Florida style. A beautiful house in my hood overlooking Lake Adair. FINALLY I got another window shot for the day! OOppsss ... moved this old one up on my photostream as I don't have a current HWW shot for today. Sickly ... Happy Window Wednesdays, ya'll.

See? I told you it was a mini Creation adventure. I haven't been healthy enough to go anywhere in so long. This was 1.9 miles from my house and still I almost got in an auto accident coming home as I can't see very well anymore. A most beautiful Anhinga!

Thank You, Jesus for many, many things.

Is he cute or what? I love this little creature, and no one has eaten him yet! He's in my little pond in God's garden out front. He's special and he knows it. So I painted, textured and framed him! Yep!

Finally got around to taking a couple shots of one of my favorite homes here in my hood (two streets over). It's kind of an enclave, two houses seemingly joined together with fences and pergolas and other great and interesting yard things. It's a fun place in my eclectic bungalow community, part of The City Beautiful! Painted and textured.

I stopped by to check on the Cemetery Eagles. Blessed again with such a sight to behold!

This beautiful Limpkin hunting on the shores of Lake Concord was successful with that little mollusk (probably a snail). I love them. Such a treat for me.

My front yard ... one little sprig of native Salvia sticking through from the post on the other side. I liked it! HFF, ya'll ...

I'm trying to get caught up with over a year of photos that I haven't edited or posted ... and LOOK WHAT I FOUND in my photos! Oh my, I completely forgot this experience and getting to take a few shots of this beautiful Cooper's Hawk. I was over in my hood looking for ducks with babies on Lake Ivanhoe. This raptor was hanging out on the shore where seven young Mallard ducklings with both parents were swimming ... trying to avoid his inevitable attack. I think I distracted him, so he just took a quick bath and I kinda sorta scootched him away from all the babies. Have you ever seen such a beauty taking a bath?!?!? Thank you, Jesus, for not only taking this shot, but finding it in my many archives.

I don't participate in the Happy Truck Thursday group anymore, but this is my shot of one of the city's firetrucks.

At Walmart recently getting my hurricane supplies and apparently so were some of the City of Orlando firemen!

Please don't with me a HTT just something nice if you want.

Sorry that the picture quality has eroded over the years. I cannot find the original for the life of me. Oh well ... maybe I will someday. Thanks for your views and faves and COMMENTS!!!!

2019 Had to go to the hospital yesterday, and was driving down this very road again ... couldn't help but remember seeing this wonderful Florida sight five years ago. So decided to share it with ya'll again for 2019 CHRISTmas!

This week's theme is Red Rules. This is one of my favorite bird feeders and hangs on the front porch, made of stained glass!

And I'll take this opportunity to wish you and yours a Happy and Healthy New Year 2018. May God bless you abundantly through the coming year. Thank you for being my Flickr friends, and for your views and faves and comments on my photos!!!

This is a mansion a few streets over from me. I think it's a magnificent house and campus ... but just three different style windows in the front of the huge main house? Odd, huh? Anyway, huge complex facing Lake Adair in our historic neighborhood in The City Beautiful.

Happy MACRO MONDAYS. No cats, today, but I've got a couple waiting!

Another beautiful estate home on Lake Adair here in The City Beautiful. Happy Window Wednesdays.

Happy Cats Day! # 9 of 11 cats! She's a TNR who I ended up bringing in the house after her brother, Tigger, got killed.

Go Delta! With the clarity of this morning's sky, NROL-68 was easily visible from my backyard, some 46 miles away. This is the penultimate rocket of ULA's largest rocket to date, the Delta IV Heavy, with it and the Atlas V going to be replaced by the Vulcan. Despite being quite sight to see, the payload is highly classified, with it being operated by the secretive National Reconnaissance Office. With this being my favorite rocket, it is sad knowing that they are not long for this world, but it is still amazing to see them before they go.

I haven't seen this Red-shouldered Hawk couple so close in a couple of years. This is right across the street. They were both hunting grubs in the thatch of the front lawn that was freshly mowed. It's a yucky lawn, and obviously a grand haven for yucky Grubs. I was going to crop this, but somehow felt that the expanse of roof showed this urban setting better ...

I haven't been healthy enough to go anywhere, so I had fun, although pretty tough holding my big Nikon with the long lens. Phew ... I will have to have a tripod more readily available.

Anyway, had a moment or two of excitement and didn't leave my yard! Thank You, Jesus!

Precious papa catching a cat nap whenever he can.

I had never seen one like this before. Heavy Rescue, City of Orlando Fire Department. What a beauty!

Happy Truck Thursday!

I forgot I DID have a HWW shot for today. This is from the 9th floor of the new Innovation Towers looking out over (unfortunately) the parking garage and then downtown Orlando. I started Physical Therapy there this week.

I was so blessed, after being sick and unable to get out for years, to find them 2 miles from home. Thank You, Jesus.

Great birds at the historic Greenwood Cemetery in The City Beautiful. This is one of my favorites.

Private burial mound in the historic Greenwood Cemetery in The City Beautiful.

This beauty was way, WAY far away so both these shots weren't the best. But such an extraordinary sight to behold so I'm keeping them! The City Beautiful!

2023: Showing one of my favorite Swan shots as this beauty was out in the wild by the cemetery not in Lake Eola downtown. I do this when some posts a shot of something that I love. This was my choice.

Across Lake Concord this majestic mansion compound with windows everywhere is a view to enjoy. Spectacular place, huh? Windows galore!

Happy Window Wednesday!

This is the little one, probably 2nd born. I was going to type "what a difference a week makes" but I haven't even posted the shots I took last week. So blessed to get to see this.

Downtown Orlando looking across Lake Eola. Oldie but a goodies from 2012.

The City Beautiful keeping me safe in front of my house.

Happy Truck Thursday!

Orlando, Florida is nicknamed "The City Beautiful" and its symbol is the fountain at Lake Eola. Orlando is also known as "The Theme Park Capital of the World" and its tourist attractions draw more than 57 million tourists a year, including 4.1 million international guests.

I'm a born again Christian, so nothing is dreary about this cemetery scene! But this Raven just gave me such a wonderful backlit opportunity for a humorous edit!

Looking out the window at my Oncologist's office. I love the high story window views. Happy Window Wednesday, ya'll. God bless you this day.

In my hood, on the next street. It's a great neighborhood full of eclectic homes, etc. I love this fence!!! This shot jazzed up a bit 'cause ... well 'cause I love to jazz up my photos!

Happy Fence Friday!

it had been so long, and I was so blessed that the girl I met receintly on Lake Adair had been watching for me for the Wood Ducks when they came over to the Lake Concord side. Only 1.9 miles from home and yet I still almost got into a serious auto accident as I can't see very well. Thank You, Jesus, for the hedge of protection you placed around me to keep me safe. Hallelujah!

The City Beautiful

They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery ... trying to imitate www.flickr.com/photos/143790323@N04/ and his awesome photo painting style! Anyway, old shot of downtown @ Lake Eola, and I painted it among other things with Impression 2 in a Monet-ish Impasto. I do love painting my photos!

Putting it in my January 2018 album ... or maybe I'll add it to Oldies but Goodies too. 2012 photo.

Now I don't know why my link to Miguel de Ozarko didn't work? It usually shows the name rather than the whole link? Too pooped am I. www.flickr.com/photos/143790323@N04/

Trying to share his photostream ONE MORE TIME: flic.kr/ps/3c4Cx5

Didn't do very well with my focusing or shooting today, tough area for me and the sun ... oh my goodness it was low and bright!

This beautiful Yellow-headed Blackbird flew over to a practice padlock where all the livestock peeps were working out before their showing later in the day! Life bird and near home!

Second time around: 2023-03-16 A rare species of Blackbird here and a life bird for me on this day ... moved up to share again. In honor of my Flickr friend, Cami mire who posted two really great bird photos today! www.flickr.com/photos/125201798@N07/

aarrgghhh ... I'm so overwhelmed. Anyway, so much more to do ... programs to load, etc. Setting up a new computer is tough! My chemobrain has had it for today! Goodnight Moon, goodnight Peeps!

OBTW Wood Ducks today on Lake Adair in my hood. This is a .jpeg shot with my little Nikon. Basic editing, still have to download and install oh so many things ....

and just the day before I had been whining to myself that I hadn't seen an Eastern Bluebird in a couple of years. I love them so much! Others in Central Florida were posting great shots of them!

Then oh my goodness ... in the little Live Oak tree planted between my car and the far off Eagles' tree ... this flash of blue! And look what flew in! I was so excited I cannot describe how much! Thank you, Jesus!

SECOND TIME AROUND: Oldies but goodies. Thank You, Jesus.

They are still here! Won't be long now before they head north!

this is what I call the Penthouse. It's up and to the right of the nest hole. The inside of the tree is hollow so once the oldest one figured it out, he crawled up there (see previous photo). So cool! Dad is right nearby in another Live Oak tree. Painted and textured.

This is the surviving chick and Mom in the Live Oak tree with tons of Spanish Moss hanging down. Precious creatures ...

It's been four+ years since I've seen a sunrise or sunset. Auto accidents, cancer, autoimmune disease ... phew. But I went out this morning to bring in the garbage can that just got emptied, and low and behold looking east down my street was this wonderful blessing. Had my iPhone so shot in RAW and hoped for the best. It's a keeper. Thank You, Jesus, for such a blessing this morning.

A beautiful lakefront home on Lake Ivanhoe in my hood. Happy Window Wednesdays!
