Farringdon is a London Underground and connected main line National Rail station in Clerkenwell, central London. The station is in the London Borough of Islington, just outside the boundary of the City of London. Opened in 1863 as the terminus of the Metropolitan Railway, the world's first underground passenger railway, Farringdon is one of the oldest surviving underground railway stations in the world.
Today the Underground station is served by the Circle, Hammersmith & City, and Metropolitan lines between King's Cross St Pancras and Barbican. The National Rail station is on the Thameslink route between St Pancras and City Thameslink, and the Elizabeth line also serves the station since it opened on 24 May 2022.

A day of FDT frustration in London today; raining non-stop so that buggered my plan to do one in Covent Garden in the mirrors of Reflect London, then I thought I'd go to the Tate and do one inside the Turbine Hall, which was closed in preparation for a new work and then I ran out of time.
So, you get me at the foot of the steps on the westbound platform at Blackfriars underground station instead. Will try to be on-theme next week.

London General LDP207 on route 413 towards Morden station and DOE on route 213 towards Kingston both wait outside Sutton bus garage before their next runs. 28/01/11.
DW201 was the first of its kind to be operated by Arriva London, previously being located in East London out of [GY] Grays garage featuring on routes such as 66, 103, 370 & 375. Following the electrification of 279 at [E] Enfield garage, many of the Enviro400 (T)’s from the route moved to [GY] Grays, which replaced the Wrightbus Gemini 2 (DW)’s in the garage. These buses have since been withdrawn and stored at [EC] Edmonton garage, but can often be seen on Rail Replacement services in London. Here is DW201 standing at Acton Town station on a lengthy break before departing later in the evening for a trip towards Rayners Lane on Piccadilly Line Replacement service PL-4.
