my textures
I took this shoot last October in the New York Amish country. I processed it in Photoshop using several textures from Distressed Textures.
My texture plus iColorama, Distressed FX Plus and Pastello
Saw this cat sitting on fence watching birds. She eventually sauntered down the fence line to home, knowing the food waiting there did not need to be chased.
Thank you for taking the time for a closer look. Your time and comments are so much appreciated.
Newport Beach Jettie, Newport Beach California could be my new favorite spot to get away.
I was testing out a new cokin GND filter, too bad I was shooting in .jpg!! =/
I'll be without a computer for a while, sorry for the inconvenience!
The Mill Pond in Apalachicola, FL is the home to a small fleet of shrimp boats. We call them the Ladies because many are named after local women
I think this is a Chalcedon Checkerspot, correct me if I'm wrong. A texture has been added, plus Paint in Photoshop. The texture is by Jerry Jones, www.flickr.com/photos/skeletalmess
Taken this late Summer early Fall I added a texture layer and was happy with the results. Sorry I know I'm posting a lot of pics right now but I have so many and just feel like I need to get some out there! But if you leave a comment I WILL visit you!! (I still can't figure out why on some images the EXIF data shows and some it doesn't I'm not trying to hide it.)

THE TROUBLE WITH GERANIUMS
The trouble with geraniums
is that they’re much too red!
The trouble with my toast is that
it’s far too full of bread.
The trouble with a diamond
is that it’s much too bright.
The same applies to fish and stars
and the electric light.
The troubles with the stars I see
lies in the way they fly.
The trouble with myself is all
self-centred in the eye.
The trouble with my looking-glass
is that it shows me, me;
there’s trouble in all sorts of things
where it should never be.

We have been in the High Country soaking up the autumn beauty. I'll be catching up SOON! We are VERY tired (that includes Jocko, "our dog" He climbed up on the couch and has slept for HOURS).
I haven't had much time for Flickr recently, and am so missing all your beautiful streams. I will try to catch up with them over the next few days.
This was processed with textures from Sarah Gardner's wonderful Artisan set.
Denali, Denali National Park & Preserve, Alaska. Processed with Lightroom, Photoshop, Lumenzia and texture.
This is a piece of Boron removed the edges of a smelter as it accumulated from the splashes. A fascinating addition to my mineral collection.
For macro mondays 'paper'
The rolled section of this torn strip was about 1cm across - it was fascinating to see the textures of the rough edges so closely!
It was placed on a smooth ceramic tile with a glitter card background.
Early mornings at Scipio Creek are always peaceful; usually pelicans and seagulls are the only things stirring. The little boat on the left side of this image has been there for years, I was told someone lived on it for several years, but now it is unoccupied. The other boat was a recent arrival, and if Google Maps are to be believed it is gone now. For some reason that I do not understand the dark waters of Scipio Creek are very reflective.
I processed this image in Photoshop with a little help from Dynamic Auto Painter. French Kiss Creme-Fraiche was used for texturing.
