my first textless banner!

-squee!- thanks to selina a.k.a. chromatic @ TDA for inspiring me to make this.

I have to admit it was very hard for me not to put text b/c i'm a text freak. I spent twenty minutes trying to find text for the Meet Me At The Corner banner.

So... I am finished. WITHOUT TEXT! Whoop

I can remember very clearly being at the Devious Theatre fundraiser in The Pumphouse in August of 2006. John Morton and Kevin Mooney approached me quite modestly and asked would I be at all interested in creating a poster for Heart Shaped Vinyl. I, of course, immediately jumped at the chance to be involved in the show. This would be the first in a long and continual series of promotional material and the beginning of my association with the wonderful theatre group.

I was given no more guidance for the image than to literally interpret the title of the show. And to that end, I think it's a pretty successful job.

The finished one has a japanese text, but since my japanese is not that good...

I found a font that exactly suits the mood of this but I couldn't think of a single witty thing to put onto the photo, so I left it textless.

I'm always fascinated by hyperlinking in the physical world. This was printed on the ribbon, but it looks like someone drew it on their otherwise textless breast cancer magnetic ribbon. Weird!
