A vivid memory reproduced here from my mid-univesity term. We were called alphabetically from whichever lecture or activity we were doing by a runner, to attend the medical room. We were all given surprise tetanus booster shots. As we were legally adults, no consent form was required other than a verbal agreement. I remember not feeling the needle at all which was a relief; I'm next in line in this portrayal as I did not play much sport at uni and would not have been in gym kit.
