Prototype 3, SOMA Robotics defensive robots to prevent and, or, mitigate school shootings. Intelligent use of AI and ML to identify an out of place incident, subject to human over-ride, but AI based immediate response to a gunshot based on mutiple sensors with a non-lethal secure response to help people escape or fight back.

This is a photo of the more aesthetically pleasing installation box. Apparently earlier prototypes looked too much like Velociraptors and didn't convey the "we're here to protect, not provoke message" as intended.

Prototype 2 of SOMA Robotics Security robot. This one was generally rejected as being "to f*n" scary and I'd never install that in my hotel/concert-venue/casino/school" -

But I thought it looked cool.

Alright, OK, when she was powered up, she was kinda intense. The "they look like a pack of velociraptors" comment from a beta tester was the final straw.

And I get it.

After all, the point of SOMArobotics.com was to increase security. Not to terrify people. So this one hit the mat and was out!

(Secretly - oh ya, I still think she was a bad-ass bot.... #heh)

SOMA Robotics Security Robot Prototype 1. She was a complete failure from balance, to response time to the boards chosen by me. Arduino is NOT enough for AI powered robotics. It's a great controller, but you are still gonna need a linux controller inbetween.

Rules out primarily because of weight distribution at this prototype robot was still using the build in chips from the manufacturer of the light. The light was too heavy, wasn't bright enough, and failed our QA tests to be sure it
