Tees Transporter Bridge like something out of Star Wars. May all your hangovers be light ones.On this Boxing day ,
As mentioned in a few of my previous shared images, I did go for a long outing on Stephen's Day as one could not do that for both Christmas Eve or Day. It was coming down in bucketfuls. This is the way down to the 6th Hole Tee box of the Bunclody Golf Course and unfortunately the River Slaney decided to break her banks and encroach onto the course, including submerging the Tee box.

High Force is one of the most impressive waterfalls in England. The River Tees has been plunging into this gorge for thousands of years but the rocks it reveals are far more ancient – with origins dating back over 300 million years!
Like a giant metal praying mantis looming out of the mist, this old beauty was constructed by Dorman Long, the famous steelmakers of history.
Burnley, Lancashire
For all your golfers out there! This is one of the greens at Burnley Golf Club located within Towneley Hall Park. In the distance you can see Pendle Hill, a very distinctive landmark in East Lancashire
After weeks of overcast cloud with no sun, a golden sunset appeared over Teesside. The fishing boats in Paddy's hole left high and dry with the receding tide and a golden sky lighting the water behind them.
an overflow channel alongside the Tees gradually draining after February's storms. You can see the high water level from the flotsam caught in the bushes & branches.
Paddy’s Hole is a small harbour constructed from slag and named so because of the many Irishmen who helped build the South Gare.
An old fisherman who owns one of the boats in the harbour came over to chat and told many amusing tales of his life as a Tees fisherman.

A socially distanced escape from my stuffy office for a bracing lunchtime walk along the Tees - Sunny & cold !
The magnificent Tees Transporter Bridge, an enduring symbol of Middlesbrough's industrial past and present. Its vast scale is always impressive.
