Excerpt from Wikipedia: Tsz Shan Monastery (慈山寺) is a large Buddhist temple located in Tung Tsz, Tai Po District, Hong Kong. As a Chinese Buddhist monastery established for the inheritance of the teaching of the Buddha, Tsz Shan Monastery is a sanctuary for the purpose of spiritual purification, and endeavours to open the door to compassion and wisdom for the public through various activities. Much of the monastery building funds were donated by local business magnate Li Ka-shing.
Within the Tsz Shan Monastery, an outdoor bronze Guanyin statue, 76 meters in height, is the second highest in the world. Tsz Shan Monastery completed its construction and opened to public visitors in April 2015, led by the Venerable Kok Kwong HHCKLA.
Excerpt from the Guide Map of Tszshan Monastery: The Grand Buddha Hall has its front facade divided by columns into seven bays with an eighteen-metre high roof ridge. Inside the Hall three Buddha statues are placed, namely Sakyamuni Buddha 釋迦牟尼佛, Bhaisajyaguru Buddha 東方藥師佛 (the Medicine Buddha), and Amitabha Buddha 西方阿彌陀佛. On either side of Sakyamuni Buddha stands his attendant disciples, Cenerable Mahakasyapa 迦葉尊者 and Venerable Ananda 阿難尊者. The statues are carved from camphorwood 樟木 either painted with gold powder or affixed with gold leaves. The statues inside the Hall were carved following the sculptural traditions of the Tang 唐 and Liao 遼 Dynasties. On the two sides of the Hall, there are eighteen bronze statues of arhats 十八羅漢. At the back of the Hall, visitors can find an illustration of the Maitreya Descending Sutra 彌勒經變, reproduced with modern technology from the north wall of cave 25 of the Yulin Grottoes 榆林窟, east of the Dunhuang Mogao Grottoes 敦煌壁畫, as well as illustrations of the bodhisattvas Manjusri 文殊經變 and Samantabhadra 普賢經變 from cave 3 of the Yulin Grottoes.
Macro Mondays :: Technology :: 25.5.15
This watch may not be the wiz bang technology we know today but in my late father's day I'm sure it was quite the technology.

“The difference between technology and slavery is slaves are fully aware they are not free”
Nassim Nicholas Taleb
Inquiring about the buildings which look like 'half a building' we were informed, "these were the slave quarters.' While slavery wasn't the first thing we thought about while absorbing NOLAs fine sense of heritage and hospitality, when you become calibrated to it, it is hard not to think of elephants in the room.

Stagecoach 34627 (KX54 OPB) operating route 4 along Technology Drive, Rugby. I had not seen this dart for several months (My last shot seems to be July last year) as it seemed to have been out-posted to Kettering. However, it is now in the reserve fleet, and today. the 1st of June 2018, I saw it pass me here on the way to Brownsover, so I decided to wait for it return, bound for the Admirals Estate.
Ok so we live in the town next to where the New England Patriots play their football games; and I stopped for iced coffee, looked up and saw this triangular thing that looked like the Patriots game flag. Of course it looked like the Patriots flag, context and all that—- grin. But it’s probably some sort of fancy broadcast antenna
Caps were a bastard, couldn't really be fucked on this one.
Shouts to all the damage cats that turned up! Till next time killas! Stay tuned more to come.
unfortunately no techy black in this, rain washed away mulsh background. annoying. Some colours didnt work, hence lack of 3d shading/ bevel in some fills and fuck to be honest the bevels pretty shite in this one. Keep frosty kats.
Hit me up if you are in Ebrugh or Glasgow. Looking for more cats to paint with.

Contrasting liveries on 68029 Destroyer and 68018 Vigilant as they skirt Colwyn Bay working 6K41,14.58 Valley Nuclear Electric - Crewe Coal Sidings nuclear flasks, 8th November 2017.
Even with today’s modern technology you can still make a mess of things. I was out with my long term mate of nearly forty years Mr David Hayes and had been tracking 6K41, being fully aware it was running nearly an hour early. However after 1H90, 14:40 Llandudno – Manchester had passed I decided on a change of lens so thinking I had plenty of time I made my way from my vantage point half way down a bank back to the car. However 6K41 “on the block” and was right behind 1H90, appearing in the distance only three minutes after 1H90 had passed and I was still changing lenses. After a mad scramble I just got back in time to the spot I had picked to photograph 6K91, but it was a very close run thing.

I've had trouble getting enough light for my photos at this time of the year. I thought a small LED lamp would help but the little ones seem to be afraid of it.

This cell phone tower stands right accross the road behind our building at work. Needless to say, I have no problem getting a good connection on my cell phone.
“I've come up with a set of rules that describe our reactions to technologies:
1. Anything that is in the world when you’re born is normal and ordinary and is just a natural part of the way the world works.
2. Anything that's invented between when you’re fifteen and thirty-five is new and exciting and revolutionary and you can probably get a career in it.
3. Anything invented after you're thirty-five is against the natural order of things.”

Indudablemente la tecnología ocupa gran parte de nuestro tiempo!!!

In the year 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
They may find
In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies
Everything you think, do, or say
Is in the pill you took today
In the year 4545
Ain't gonna need your teeth, won't need your eyes
You won't find a thing to do
Nobody's gonna look at you
In the year 5555
Your arms are hanging limp at your sides
Your legs not nothing to do
Some machine is doing that for you
In the year 6565
Ain't gonna need no husband, won't need no wife
You'll pick your son, pick your daughter too
From the bottom of a long black tube
In the year 7510
If God's a-comin' he ought to make it by then
Maybe he'll look around himself and say
Guess it's time for the Judgement day
In the year 8510
God's gonna shake his mighty head
He'll either say I'm pleased where man has been
Or tear it down and start again
In the year 9595
I'm kinda wondering if man's gonna be alive
He's taken everything this old earth can give
And he ain't put back nothing
Now it's been 10,000 years
Man has cried a billion tears
For what he never knew
Now man's reign is through
But through the eternal night
The twinkling of starlight
So very far away
Maybe it's only yesterday
In the year 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
They may find
In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies
Everything you think, do or say
Is in the pill you took today ....
Sorry for not being around guys, i have been working two jobs and have missed so much i have to catch up with everything. So apologies for not catching up with your messages and work...
I had today free so felt i should catch up with my 52 weeks from missing last weeks theme of Technology. I had originally decided to do something combining man and machine but after thinking about it thought i would try the matrix style portraits i have always wanted to try!
It took a lot of layers to say the least but i think i got a similar effect to what i wanted, only downside it isn't dark enough between the highlights. Anyhoo, i'm pleased with the results despite that and hopefully will improve with practice. Now i have to rush off again and go prepare for more work, i hope i get a break soon! Catch up soon guys and gals! :)
(P.S. this is best viewed large on black! )
