1. I am thankful I publish these every week because being and feeling thankful tends to cause me to notice more things .. especially minutes after I hit the publish button! :)
2. I am thankful for Zomboy’s human silhouettes. This One Love is my favourite.
3. I am thankful and relieved for Flickr’s Block user feature because I invoked it and feel safer! :) FORCE FIELD of safety, comfort and good intentions! :)
4. I am thankful for Eleven who has approximately a bazillion wonderful things blooming in her life! YAY for a bazillion wonderful bloomings! I dunno about you but I heart it when lovely, warm hearted people create lovely and fun things in their lives! :)
5. I am thankful that Eleven and some other folks in my life know what I am talking about when I talk about blanket forts! :)
6. I am thankful for having the super power of being able to scan things to pick out the useful parts and just let the other stuff slide off or stay where it was. I think I am thankful for being asked specifically what my super powers are because it is good to think about these things.
7. I am thankful for my reality because it is a heck of a lot of fun! There is much wonder and magic happening here! Oh yeah, there is also silly dancing, singing and laughing. :)
8. I am thankful I finally sat and read Chris Guillibeau’s The Tower because it made me think about towers and my own interaction with towers. Perspective is fascinating and useful. :)
9. I am thankful for Reese Spykerman because she designs/creates ebooks and websites that are more accessible to me and other folks that are more auditory learners.
10. I am thankful for asking The Momster more about her first fun visit to Victoria, BC. She had such a great time with my brother-in-law and his wife. tee hee. This is also very exciting because she is now gwishualizing visiting eastern Canada. I bet she will love it, especially Nova Scotia. I am also thankful I enjoyed the afternoon with the Momster .. it was nice to have a few hours to leisurely enjoy lunch and then do errands. I asked her when we could go photographing together again. We always find the most fascinating things to photograph and interestingly enough we don’t seem to see the “No Trespassing” sign until we are ready to leave! :)
11. I am thankful The Momster was getting a battery from the Battery Depot because it gave me a chance to recycle some batteries I’ve had tucked away to recycle for years! I liked that within seconds of walking in a friendly, knowledgeable guy helped her get exactly what she needed and I got to take photos of the lovely plants hanging in the front window and have a delightful chat about plants with a guy on his break! YAY for good and fun service! :) YAY Battery Depot!! :) Definitely YAY for recycling old batteries! :)
Thank you for you. Love you and your loving ones.

love/hate relationship
i love technology. i love having this little phone to take pictures of flowers. to keep in touch with my loved ones. to make new friends. i really do.
but i hate the worrying about backups and where's my photostream and why won't this work or that work.
so today, after two completely unproductive days at work due to computer problems, i figured it was time to backup my iphone.
T is for Technology. With today's technology I feel the possibilities are endless. Ive met so many great people over the internet and I am so thankful for them.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. -- Contractor Ty Lyttle gets help from Jesse Lynn Tullis and Sam Brown, contractors from Advanced Integrated Technology, to position a twin engine on blocks aboard the Corps’ Derek dredge Elizabeth. On October 9, 2012, the Elizabeth’s “green” transformation began with the installation of two new fuel-efficient and EPA-compliant Iveco marine propulsion diesel engines. Add to that new twin diesel generators, housed in sound-barrier boxes that significantly reduce noise pollution and exhaust emissions. The eco-friendly engines were purchased under a separate contract at a total cost of $100,000. MJL Enterprises, LLC, a Service-Disabled Veteran small business, based in Norfolk, Va., was contracted to install the engines and generators at a cost of $115,000. The Elizabeth patrols federal navigable waterways of Hampton Roads, performing a wide variety of maritime missions, among them the removal of surface and underwater obstructions that would impede navigation. Children's Creativity Museum (formerly Zeum: San Francisco's Children's Museum) is a hands-on, multimedia arts and technology museum for kids of all ages located at the Yerba Buena Gardens in San Francisco, California. It aims to nurture the "3Cs of 21st-century literacy - Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication - in all youth and families". Children's Creativity Museum is well known for its technology-based exhibits which allow youth to produce their own media through various interactive, creative processes: animation, digital art, live performance, and music production. Children's Creativity Museum is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), community-based organization.
Zeum opened to the public on October 31, 1998 as part of a major 87-acre (350,000 m2) urban renewal project in the South of Market area by the San Francisco Redevelopment Agency. It changed its name to Children's Creativity Museum in 2011 to increase awareness about the museum's purpose. In a press release announcing the name change, it stated: "Although the name Zeum sounded fun, it didn’t provide parents with any clues about what they and their children would experience. With that understanding, our verbal branding team identified two primary goals the new name needed to accomplish: It had to be descriptive enough to indicate who it was for, but also suggestive enough to encompass the broad range of imaginative activities participants could take part in. After vetting over 200 names with Zeum leadership, it was agreed that the name “Children’s Creativity Museum” accomplished both goals. "
