Wild Teasel seedheads (Dipsacus fullonum) look spectacular even when all flower petals fall. Interestingly, the plant name ‘teasel’ derives from an old English verb "to tease" as its robust dried heads were used in the textile industry to raise the nap on woollen cloth in the past. Monsoon season started slowly and quite a few thunderstorms passed us without any rain so far. This one was close, but just a few drops, nether the less great lightning display!
The teasel is probably best known for its brown prickly stems and conical seed heads, which persist long after the plants themselves have died back for the winter. Between July and August, when teasels are in flower, the spiky flower heads are mostly green with rings of purple flowers

A wonderful evening spent with the FFF+ last Saturday evening.

This fresh looking male Adonis Blue gave me a tease of that gorgeous blue wing colour. I sat with him for around 15 mins yesterday morning without him opening his wings until he flew off.

This is my first attempt at a boudoir kind of shot. It's not easy! I wish we had tried more poses because it was really fun (for me, anyway). I'd love to try more in the future.
This was the very first pose we did. You'd think we'd warm up with the fashion shots first but since my friend Susan made the girls up in the master bathroom we decided to shoot the boudoir shots in the master bedroom first.
A delicious slice of Tiramisu, which means "pick me up" in Italian because of the coffee composnent. Let's wait till April to diet, lol =)
