Tower of Mangia

The Torre del Mangia is a tower in Siena, in the Tuscany region of Italy. Built in 1338-1348, it is located in the Piazza del Campo, Siena's premier square, adjacent to the Palazzo Pubblico. When built it was one of the tallest secular towers in medieval Italy.

Waiting for Summer

Jorgia (who would be known as Josephine later in life) wasn’t one to enjoy being the center of attention. However, when she was asked to demonstrate an advanced transfiguration in her first class at Grindelbane Academy, she was eager to prove to the others exactly why she was invited a year earlier than most. I ran across these two shots from over 10 years ago that look like I took them yesterday. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!!

The Big Muddy

Saw a coworker at North Park way back in 2014. This is his photo, but I used Gigapixel AI to increase the size of the image from 960x640 to 3840x2560. It mostly worked! Well, it worked better than I expected. There are some funky things going on if you look closely, but I think it was worth the price. Just don't expect to enlarge fine art with it. I think this app is best for enlarging old, low-res snapshots.

With visual confirmation that the incredible run of triple pumpkins on the Missabe in 2022 has come to an end after only 2 days short of 2 months I was looking through my Bessemer album this morning and came across this shot from July 25th, 2013. Even for the Bessemer nearly 10 years ago 4 tunnel motors was a nuts consist and i flopped quads on the nuts this afternoon with the set coming south at Conley Road in Shermansville.

Taken very early one morning, during a night shift five years ago.

Time flies when you have fun, I guess.

Today, I would never work night shifts on the south side.

One could say I'm just making excuses for being lazy but sometimes its nice to leave shots unedited to come back to later. Heres one from my 11th hour trip to the A&M in September 2013. The Monett turn roars north through Seligman behind 4 C420's, thanks to the Nanner Hogger for use of his mobile elevation platform.
