This amazing woman has been through a lot in her life, and has always survived. She wanted to get a survivor tattoo that would symbolize the beauty that happens when you overcome life's many obstacles.
I've always believed that no matter what you do life will do what it wants. This saying 'C'est La Vie' in french means 'That's Life'. Its something I fallow in my life, kinda a motto. I got this on my eighteenth birthday to remind myself everyday that lifes gonna do what it wants and that I need to learn to enjoy every minute of it.
This saying didn't stick with me because its a well known quote from peter pan. It actually had a much deeper meaning to me then that. My great grandma passed away in december of 2009, she was ninty-seven. She always had this positive out look that whatever life threw at her she would take with great strength. She never once acted scared of dieing, she saw it as something to experience, just a regular part of life.
I've always loved peter pan and the concept of never wanting to grow up, the magic behind it was amazing to me. For some reason after my great grandmother passed, this saying struck a chord with me.
Its not finished. I plan on getting vines around it, with blue flowers. I want to go for the more swirly vines so that the names of my great grandma, grandpa, and grandma can come off of the vines looking like they belong there, kinda hidden away. I am hoping to get it done soon.
