Task Force Red Dragon, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, receive end-of-tour awards September 2022, at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The awards recognize task for Soldiers for their accomplishments over their nine-month deployment to the Horn of Africa.
This three-day conference is offered in the Group Relation tradition which offers a unique opportunity to study the conscious and unconscious dynamics involved in how groups organize themselves and interact with each other. This conference is not a passive learning event that relies upon lectures. Instead, the learning is experiential. Participants study how leadership, followership, authority, task, boundaries, and roles operate in the different group experiences they enter during the conference.

Newly-recruited Virginia Army National Guard Soldiers train on basic Soldiers skills during a combined training event as part of the Virginia National Guard’s Recruit Sustainment Program Oct. 20, 2018, at Camp Pendleton State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The RSP aims to increase troop readiness by teaching new Soldiers the basics of military service before they ship to Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training. Breeders from national agricultural research systems of 22 African countries, AfricaRice and the International Rice Research Institute met at the 2nd Annual Meeting of the Africa Rice Breeding Task Force, Cotonou, Benin.
The objective of this Task Force is to accelerate the development and release of new rice varieties through multi-environment and multi- year trials of many promising breeding lines.
The Breeding Task Force has also been actively engaged in capacity development programs on breeding, experimental design, and germplasm database management for national researchers.
At this meeting, four days of intensive discussions led to identification of promising rice lines to advance in the screening process. The rice breeders are confident that in 2013 the first lines that have gone through this continent-wide screening process will be ready for release.

As part of our Firday15, we spent an extra couple minutes to take the Marshmallow Challenge. The traditional bull jumping is a rite of passage for men. The man must jump over a line of 10 to 30 (castrated)bulls four times completey nude without falling. If this task is complete, the man joins the ranks of the Maza. Maza are other men that have successfully completed the bull jumping event. During this ceremony, the women of the tribe provoke the maza to whip them on their bare backs. This is extrememly painful and causes severe scaring on the women. The scars are a symbol of devotion to the men and are encourged by the tribe.
