Spent the day at the arboretum yesterday. Beautiful color everywhere for Dallas Blooms. I've been wanting to try some street photography, but have been too chicken. There were TONS of people there tho' ...all with cameras, so it was actually fairly easy to grab a few shots...especially if people were busy paying attention to something else.

Members of the 444th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment were reunited with their families on Sept. 28, 2012, after a year-long deployment to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. The unit, which is comprised of writers, photographers, videographers and media-relations experts served as a key component of the Joint Task Force Guantanamo public affairs operation. The unit oversaw publication of The Wire, a print and online base newsmagazine, assisted civilian media covering military tribunals on the base and advised the command staff of public affairs implications of policy decisions. Task Force Red Dragon, Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, holds multiple end-of-tour awards ceremonies September 2022, at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The awards recognize task force Soldiers for all they have accomplished over their nine-month tour in the Horn of Africa.

Chelmno, Poland – Task Force Saber, under the command of 4th Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, U.S. Army, drive on an M3 Amphibious Rig over the Vistule River in Chelmno, Poland June 8, 2016 that was set up for Anaconda 16 by engineers from the 23 Amphibious Troop, 75th Engineer Regiment, British Army and the 130th Armored Engineer Battalion, German Army. Driving over the mobile bridge is one of the tactical tasks that Task Force Saber will complete during Dragoon Ride II, a 2200 km road march from Rose Barracks, Vilseck, Germany to Tapa, Estonia. The convoy will drive through Poland, Lithuania and Latvia to reach their destination where they will conduct multinational tactical training exercises and participate in cultural events.

DJIBOUTI (May 24, 2012) - Soldiers from Task Force Raptor participate in the 1st ever Spur Ride in the Horn of Africa. The two-day event is a time-honored right of passage for Cavalry Troops which tests the participants' knowledge on weapons, basic medical care, and land navigation skills; finishing up with and early morning ruck march. NORTHERN CALIFORNIA - The men, women - and canines of the Los Angeles City Fire Department were actively deployed during late summer and early fall of 2020 to massive wildfires across the western United States. Among those sent forth have been highly trained LAFD members assigned to California Urban Search and Rescue Regional Task Force 9 (CA-RTF-9), including human remains detection canines Veya and Charli, seen here at the massive North Complex Fire in northern California that spanned Plumas, Butte and Yuba counties, to perform the dolorous task of safely and respectfully recovering those who perished in the flames.
