This annual family-oriented event serves as an introduction for young people and newcomers to outdoor sports while teaching the important role hunting and fishing play in wildlife conservation.
This area has a curious mix of all sorts of items strewn about for target practice and disposal.

Seale, Alabama - - During the days of 'colder' wars, range dummies, like this one, were used for target practice. With the 'newer' enemy profiles of more current events, today, these targets serve as driveway markers for a community of retired special forces officers.
A custom paper target made by Targets Online at The Range at Austin shooting range in Austin, Texas, clipped with black binder clips, with multiple bullet holes in the head and center-mass areas.

"Life Cycle" an art show by art pranksters. The focus of the show is the life cycle of a person in contemporary America. 'Life Cycle' opens at the Opera Gallery in New York City on October 21 and runs through November 11.

Target shooting on 5/5/07. We really didn't go anywhere notable, so this is the best I have for "24 hours of Flickr".
I guess this would represent rural living and/or survival. If the world as we know it were to turn upside down, and modern conveniences disappeared, I would be very glad to be with this man. He really knows how to survive with the bare necessities.
